The museum first opened its doors in 1940 and the collection has grown to include over 5,000 works of art and more than 45,000 artifacts covering London’s history. Tour exhibition rooms that house a rotating roster of exhibits drawn from the permanent collection.

See paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings by some of the country's leading artists. Most of the pieces date from the 20th century to the present day.
