L'Hotel Montreal is a very beautiful building and art gallery set near Old Montreal and not far from downtown. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again on my next travel to Montreal.
Loved the location of this hotel. Close to Old Town, about a 5 minute walk to the orange metro line! Good walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants.
Friendly helpful staff from car valet to fromt desk to concierge and waitstaff. We loved our room (free upgrade) and the area. I haven't been to Montreal in ages. Took the train in from Toronto and arrived mid-afternoon to be warmly greeted by the front staff. Because this is a low season for them they upgraded me to the loft which was a nice gesture. I'm only here for one night and I really wish my wife was able to come ...

While Montreal is a thoroughly modern metropolis, its origins are deeply rooted in the past. A trip to this marvelous city and a stay in a Montreal historic hotel will kick off your trip to Quebec in fine style.
When you stay in a historic hotel in Montreal, you’re setting foot in a little piece of history.
Start your exploration of the city with a trek through Old Montreal, the city’s historic district. Head to Marche Bonsecours, a classic domed building dating back to 1847. Grab a snack at one of its many cafes or restaurants, or visit its boutiques to pick up gifts for your friends waiting back at home. For a taste of the city’s illustrious past, visit the Pointe-à-Callière Museum, which focuses on the archaeology and history of the area.
You can add more flavor to your trip by staying in a Montreal historic hotel. Stay in a vintage building that boasts unique architectural touches, like brick walls and vast fireplaces in the lobby. Some of these hotels were built during the Victorian era, over 100 years ago. Despite their age, all establishments have been completely updated internally; you’ll sleep in plush bedding, enjoy hot showers, and be able to upload all your daily photos to social media through the hotel’s Wi-Fi. Enjoy a complimentary breakfast amid antique fixtures before you head out for another day in Montreal.
