"Small getaway from the everyday"
The hotel was very easy to find, and while the valet parking wasn't very well situated, we were eventually able to find it and leave our car with the very accommodating valet. The gentleman at reception was warm in his greeting and explained the costs for the room and the amenities therein. The card keys were very easy to use and the elevator ride was pleasant and not jerky (there was no unpleasant feeling as it came to a stop on our floor). Upon entering the room, I noticed that it was very clean from top to bottom. The bed was very comfortable and professionally made, a much better night sleep than I've had at a hotel in a long time. You could stir in bed and the person sleeping next to you would never have noticed. With the exception of the internet speed (5 mbps download, I clocked it) and the fact that the ethernet port (wired internet) wasn't working in the room, I'd hardly have a complaint in the time we spent at the hotel (they DID send someone in an attempt to fix the problem, but it was a problem of a more technical nature than maintenance was able to fix, so I do cut them some slack in that regard). We found the prices of the food at the bistro a little pricey, despite the elegant atmosphere (glancing through the outside window mind you). Checking out was very fast and easy and our car was brought around very quickly.

"Replace your beds!"
A lovely hotel with beautiful rooms and bathrooms, but the mattresses have got to go. I've stayed here before and enjoyed myself but always wake up with a back ache. I've concluded that it must be the overly soft mattresses which don't offer any back support. It's not worth it for the amount of ache you'll have the next day (And I'm 30).

"Favourite location in Old Mtl. "
I like the proximity to all the best restaurants and the Old Port. If you're traveling on business take a morning run in the Old Port or finish your day at Bota Bota spa on the water. Hambar restaurant off the lobby has a great vibe for post work cocktails and dinner is always great too. Quick continental breakfast is convenient.

"Would go back!"
Everything was perfect. When we got there, they had upgraded the room. The bed felt like it enveloped us. The bathroom was magnificent. Shower was a little big for the bathroom, and I bumped my head on it in the middle of the night in the dark. So leave the light on in the bathroom and close the door. The wood floors and exposed beams were so authentic and inviting. Staff was warm and accommodating. Because of all the construction, view of the port was not impressive during the day, but gorgeous at night.

When you first set foot in Montreal, you know you’ve arrived at a different place. Centuries-old buildings are dwarfed by modern museums, while flashy street performers linger outside historical cathedrals. Stroll down the cobblestone avenues of Old Montreal, dining in small cafes and taking in the distinct buzz of the city. Go off the beaten path and visit Le Plateau-Mont Royal, a bohemian neighbourhood full of shops, bars, and theatres, or visit the Montreal Insectarium, where you can learn everything you ever wanted to know (or didn’t want to know) about creepie-crawlies.

Return to your Montreal boutique hotel to keep the buzz of the city with you. Relax amid colourful, often custom-made furnishings and artwork. Mingle in a kitschy lounge after a long day of wandering around, and enjoy a responsible drink with fellow travellers. Or go for a swim, walk through the gardens, and bathe with designer toiletries. Your hotel might even offer bike rentals on-site, or an independent café in the lobby where you can grab a cup of coffee.

Begin your one-of-a-kind trip with Expedia.ca. We guarantee you the best rates on hotels in Montreal, whether you want to stay in a small inn or a large resort. We’ll help you set up the perfect accommodations without breaking the bank, so you can approach the Underground City with a mostly full wallet.
