The property offered a great location and two bedrooms along with a tv area. We had to prop doors open throughout the apartment and the keys needed to be inserted in a device to trigger the electricity. This made drying clothing a challenge when we were gone. The WiFi was spotty in the building, which made work a bit of a challenge. The kitchen was not as stocked as we needed for our food preparation, but it was easy enough to work around that.

needs some care
Location was good. Hotel is dated and in need of care and maintenance. Bedroom ceiling was grotty, but room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Kitchen was fine and shower was adequate. Could just do with sprucing up. Reception were very helpful and friendly. I don't think I will be back as it was quite expensive considering the quality of the hotel.

The hotel was not difficult to find. The location is good. The attention from the people in charge is very adequate and friendly. But we found the apartment, in our opinion, could benefit from some improvements such as new beds and mattresses and it is fair to say that the level cleanliness was good

Well equipped apartment, close to Paddington.
The booking and check-in communication from Aspen was prompt and efficient. I could not find the property at first, as it is set back behind railings and trees, which have to be walked around to a gate on the far side. The map identified the property as the Sussex Fish Bar, which is close by! Reception was efficient and I was shown which keys to use and where my room was located. This was in the basement and contained an enclosed kitchen, shower room and bedroom/lounge with sofa, table and chairs, storage cupboard, but no wardrobe. Tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk was provided in the kitchen, along with cooking utensils. The only blemish for me was that I could not activate the automatic soap dispenser in the shower, so I recommend that guests have their own toiletries to hand. I reported this on departure to the friendly receptionist. The property is a short walk from Paddington Station and is close to Hyde Park and Bayswater Road. After departure, I discovered that I had left my phone charger in the room. I emailed the property to inform them and received a prompt reply to say that it had been found and would be available for me to collect at my convenience.

I’d usually have said reasonably priced Spartan accomadations in a super convenient location IF NOT FOR SEVERAL MAJOR DEFICIENCIES. Suite is not at all as pictured. There is no place to sit or eat except for the bed. No TV was fine for us, but be aware. The first night the kitchenette flooded. The next day the staff left our window directly to the street open and anyone could have come in and taken our belongings. The third day I requested that the empty shampoo container in the shower be refilled at 8 AM and even wrote a postit on the dispenser. When we returned at 9 PM it was still empty and we were told it was too late to get any for us. Finally the Wifi was miserable. I just can’t recommend this accommodation.

Ok for Paddington location
If you’re looking for a location near Paddington and Heathrow Express, then this is ok. Otherwise there are better places. The apartment is a warren of little rooms separated by closed doors. The room is noisy and down a narrow flight of stairs (no elevator). The bathroom is small but with a very nice shower. Finally, don’t bother with the breakfast because there are excellent cafes around the corner with full English and buffet for the same price or less. . I recommend London Brasserie. So, good for convenience but little else.

Aspen Apartment is located 3 or 4 minutes from Paddington station. There are many kind of restaurants and supermarkets around the hotel. And also the kitchen of the room has all the features I need.

Location is superb. Kitchenette attached is amazing. The only comment I have are the beds. It is still using the old spring mattresses. If you are sharing the bed, you will bounce when the other person moves. And "Aspen Apartments" signage is not shown. Please walk into the Hotel called Abbeycourt Westpoint and register at the reception.

The apartment was relatively clean, the rug was slightly dirty with stains. The blankets for the beds were quite thin and the sofa bed was not really comfortable. The TV was not working properly. Apart from that, it was good value for money considering its position in London. There were plenty of bars/coffee shops in the area. Some of the reception staff were clueless. Their level of professionalism is highly questionable. We received more care and attention from the painter who was painting the stair case! If you are looking for a cheap and cheerful place situated by the city centre, just for one night (one night only!) then the place is good enough.

Good quality self contained accommodation
Not clearly identified from outside the property. The accommodation is part of a larger establishment and only by reading the street number and asking within were we certain we had the correct property. However from thereon we had no problems. Straight forward check in and a pleasant surprise when we opened the room.

For the price and location Aspen Apartments were great. Our rooms ended up having 2 bedrooms with an additional living/bedroom, and small kitchen. The staff was friendly and check in and out was very easy. The hotel allowed us to store our bags on the last day and come back for them in the afternoon before heading to the airport. The hotel is located 1 block from Paddington metro which was nice. The only down sides, no A/C or fans in the rooms, and the beds were a little stiff. I would definitely stay at Aspen Apartments again.

Spacious,convenient and close to Paddington, this apartment was a great buy. Yes, it's dated. Yes, there were a few wonky challenges (like a wobbly TV brace and no temp control on a warm night) but, overall, well worth it for the money spent. Super clean.

Great location, easy walk from Paddington Station. NO SIGNAGE on hotel for Aspen Apartments. Tired, but adequate basic BR, living area. Service horrible, free internet continually disconnected. Luggage storage unsupervised and luggage room so small our bags could not fit, staff could not be bothered with any help. Kitchen and bathrooms had odor.

Clean, accessible, easy walk, nice front desk staff. Pull out bed and a separate double bed in our room. Slept 4 easily. Pull out is not too comfy. Kitchen smells odd, like mold. Breakfast is basic for a high cost. I would stay again.

The staff was very helpful both with check-in and check-out. We arrived very late at night and the front desk was very helpful in directing our driver to the hotel. The phone number Hotels.com has online is incorrect and I had to search for a new number. The kitchen was very up to date but the furniture in the rooms was a bit dated. The apartment though was clean. The heating did not come on until the early morning so it was very cold when we arrived. It was very close to Paddington station and the Heathrow Express making the location perfect.

Nice hotel conveniently located
Very friendly and helpful staff. I liked everything about this hotel except that the bed in our room was in a loft and no air circulated up there. I asked for and received a fan and that helped. Our room overlooked a very quiet street, interesting since we were only 2 blocks from the Paddington Train station, but traffic definitely decreased significantly in the evening. Food stores and restaurants were close by.

Nice hotel very conveniently located.
I liked everything about this hotel room except that the bed was in a loft that had no air circulation so the bedroom area was very stuffy. I asked for and received a fan which helped. I also asked for a sheet to use instead of the duvet.

This location was close to many sites and easy to get to. Location was close Paddington Station which was helpful. The room was very small and outlets were not easy to use. Breakfast was a good option for us and had a variety of food items.

Excellent apartment.
Check in was very easy. Requested an early check in and they allowed it. The linen and bed was very comfortable. The kitchen could have used a few more pieces of cutlery but overall it worked. We didn't have dish soap to wash the dishes but to our surprise, housekeeping cleaned the dishes when they came. The area is one of the best. 3 minute was from the tube station. Amazing pubs within a minute walk from the apartment.

Clean and well-equipped studio apartment
Great little studio apartment that was just what I needed. The well-equipped kitchen was perfect to prepare supper (and saved the cost of eating out). Shame there was no washing up liquid or dishcloth/tea towel, but the liquid soap provided in the bathroom and a bit of elbow grease did the job! Just round the corner from Paddington, which was ideal for me.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment in late 2015 whilst planning our 6 week trip to the UK. To our surprise we discovered we had been downgraded to a triple room as the hotel was "fully booked." I could somewhat understand the lack of accommodation if we had booked last minute, but we had booked over 7 months ago!!!! The room comprised of a double room and small single bedroom but they had 'kindly' set us up an extremely uncomfortable sofa bed in the lounge as some sort of compensation to accomodate the extra person. (After 1 night on the sofa bed I wouldn't recommend this as a bedding option to anyone!) What frustrated us the most was there was no prior warning of this change, and we weren't even told at check in - it took us to question the room lay out to be told about the downgrade. Reception were somewhat helpful and offered some discount and free breakfast before they eventually found us a 2 bedroom apartment for our last 2 nights. Other than the negative start, our stay was fine and good value compared to other hotels. It's conveniently located close to Paddington Station and in a nice area so it's easy to get around. It's also in good walking distance to some sights and good restaurants. The apartment itself was quite small but as we only slept there it didn't phase us too much. The apartments don't have air conditioning and as it was summer when we visited they got quite stuffy but fans were provided. Room was cleaned daily, although rooms could do with some modernising

The place is very noisy with street noise all night. Rooms and the bedding are not clean. The location is not in best place of town. The building is old with old carpets and and old stairs.

The apartment was not cosy, one of the bedroom was damp, radiator was dripping. Electricity went out do to water dripping from lamp in kitchen, the whole apartment smelled damp. But great neighborhood, love Paddington Would stay here again, but in a smaller apartment

Our family stayed two nights in a two bedroom. All the rooms had doors making it diffuculy with children and family. The room was old, outdated and somewhat dirty in need of painting. When I spoke with the front desk regarding my dissatisfaction I was told there were no other accommodating rooms available and to move to the 'hotel' would be very expensive! Of course she did not seem to want to tell me the cost!! The breakfast was not worth the money paid.

rooms are very small, our room was for three people yet only two could be in there. up keep of the hotel could be better. one silver fish... buckling of floors, no sheets for the cot, they put us in the basement suite. internet connection had to be paid for by the day and was not very good.

DON'T stay here during the WINTER
Overall the rooms were clean and the staff friendly and attentive. The location is EXCELLENT and a very quick walk to the tube or bus stop, and there are lots of good restaurants within walking distance. The problem is they turn the heat OFF at night, and the thin poorly sealed windows let cold air pour in. We used the oven and hairdryer to keep warm. I'm sure other people in the building are using the oven and stove to keep some heat in the rooms, so that is a fire hazard that concerned us.
