"The cleanliness of the room was amazing especially coming off a 7 day camping trip. We always get a hotel the night before leaving out and the last 2 years we have booked with Alpine...WE WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM!!! There are a couple places to eat within a reasonable walking distance but none of the "in town" traffic and noise. "

"Elk Trace Bed and Breakfast was an incredible experience. The "big" house was incredible. Like a combination of a cabin / manor house. Beautiful on the outside and inside, nestled on 102 acres of pristine Colorado (San Juan Forrest) wilderness yet still fairly close to civilization in Pagosa Springs. The room was perfectly sized with a king bed. The place is dog friendly. The owner, Evelyn, even volunteered to watch one of our yappy dogs while we went on a carriage ride around the property (Buckarroos Carriage/Sleigh rides - awesome). Also I need to mention it was very affordable. Overall an incredible experience and I've told many people about Elk Trace Lodge since we've been back."
