Tucked in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this charming town offers riverside picnics and fly fishing along the New River. Hike to nearby Elk Knob State Park's summit for panoramic views or browse local crafts at the Ashe County Farmers Market.
This was a wonderful place to enjoy the fall leaves and the local hospitality. Breakfast was great and there were snacks and drinks for the evening. The host did a wonderful job. We highly recommend it.

The hotel has great architecture and the staff is super friendly. It’s clean overall, but my main issue is that the facilities are pretty outdated. I stayed in a room right by the elevator that’s separated by a wooden wall, and it was really noisy. The air conditioner wasn’t working either; I couldn’t control the temperature from the panel in my room and had to ask the front desk to adjust it. Even after they made changes, the temperature still didn’t budge.

Overall, my wife and I had a wonderful stay and good value for the money. Easy access into Abingdon. It would be nice if the hotel chain was able to offer more gluten free options.
