"The location of this place is very convenient, close to everything, within walking distance. Helpful, friendly staff. clean room. The building itself is old, historic, and a bit run-down, with no amenities. But I booked a week for a business trip at a reasonable price and am happy with what I got. They have the rooms renovated at least, so you get a comfortable, clean place to stay after all. I would consider this place if you are on a budget. You get what you need. Reading the reviews before I arrived, I panicked a bit, but it is actually a comfortable place for a 3-star hotel. "

"The Hotel Washington is a great location to easily walk to all the DC monuments and museums. The friendly staff made our family (to include grandkids) feel welcomed during checkin, eating at the restaurants and checkout. I would recommend staying at The Hotel Washington. "
