Great property
Fabulous location with panoramic views of the Pyrenees. The gite is well equipped, spacious shower and well equipped kitchen. The swimming pool is a great asset so good to be able to cool down.

Tranquillity with outstanding views
We had a lovely few days. My husband is disabled but the gite was perfect and accessible for him. Our dog enjoyed the lovely space around the gite. The owners were charming and very helpful. We can't wait to return.

A wee bit of heaven
This lovey gite was perfect for two older women who had never been abroad. It was off the beaten path, quite rural, but close enough to a wide array of venues. The gite itself was spacious, well-equipped with all the necessities to cook in-home meals. We made use of the outside table/chairs for dinner most nights, as on a clear day, the view of the Pyrennes was spectacular. The pool was lovely as the weather was on the warm side. Gail and Ric made us feel very welcome; they were very available for questions/directions. They lent us maps, warm jackets for a cable car ride up the Pyrennes, and the use of their washing machine and clothes line. We would definitely return to this Petit Rossignol and will recommend it to others.

This is the place I’v been looking for all my life! Piece, quit, space, pool, vieuw, private house. Great aera of France that is undiscovered by tourisme. Rural French Delight
Excellent property - comfortable, very clean, all mod cons, very private and peaceful location. Lovely hosts who were so helpful in every way but also very relaxed about the property and left us to enjoy ourselves while at the same time were always on hand if needed.

Perfect getaway.
We had a wonderful stay at Le Petit Rossingnol. The gite is perfect for couples looking to relax in authentic rural France, and the pool is a blessing for cooling off in the heat of the day. The views from the terrace go from lovely (minimum setting) to jaw dropping when the heat haze clears and the mountains are visible.Gail and Ric are all that you want from hosts; discreet and allowing you privacy, but friendly and on hand if you need them.There's plenty to explore in the vicinity if you can tear yourself away from the view: the Gallo Roman villa at Montmaurin is one of the prettiest I've ever seen, set in greenery and glades, Boulogne sur Gesse is a sleepy bastide town with a market and a couple of restaurants- although the best food we had was at two Ferme-Auberges in Boulogne's outlying villages: Peguilhan and Preville, where the three course lunch time menus were less than 14 euros, home grown and home cooked. While the Pic du Midi was a little disappointing when we visited, being shrouded in cloud, (to be fair, the chap at the ticket office warned us that the summit was foggy) it was still an interesting experience, meeting the wild alpaca at the bottom of the mountain, and going up in the cable car for a coffee at the top. We stopped at the Chateau de Mauvezin on the way back from the Pic- a small medieval castle with fabulous views of the mountains. St Bertrand des Comminges (which belongs to the association of the "Prettiest Villages in France") was indeed very pretty with craft shops and an ancient monastery. The wildlife around the gite was fun- an unidentified honking/rustle from over the road turned out to be two frogs going a-wooing in the pond, birds of prey swooped and screeched in the midday sun, and the bovine ladies formation eating team kept us entertained as they moved around their field munching. All in all, we had a lovely time- thank you Gail and Ric.

Great stay
Very well equipped gite, great location, amazing view of the Pyrenees and spectacular sunsets. We saw deer at the edge of the woods every day. Gail & Ric were great hosts, very helpful and knowledgeable of the area.

Peaceful and relaxing stay
We enjoyed a lovely stay in this quiet spot. Swimming in the cooling pool whilst watching the cows stroll by and sunbathing with nothing to hear but the birds. This is the ideal place for a get away from it all holiday and we had the opportunity to spend quality family time together.

Une vue a couper le souffle pour cette ravissante petite maisonnette. Nous avons apprécié tout particulièrement la grande baie vitrée dans la chambre qui nous a permis de "presque " dormir a la belle etoile, et d'apprecier +++ le lever de soleil sur les Pyrénées.

Fantastisch!
Fantastische locatie, geweldig uitzicht, heel fijn en compleet huisje, top zwembad en bovenal een hele vriendelijke gastheer en -dame! Wij hebben hier een fantastische week gehad met onze twee hondjes die ook hebben genoten van de grote tuin en de wandelingen die direct vanaf het huisje zijn te maken. Wij hopen nog eens terug te komen.

Parfaite petite retraite à la campagne
Nous avons passé une superbe semaine entre frère et sœurs dans ce logement. Le cadre est idéal pour déconnecter et destresser. Gail est une superbe hôte, très gentille et nous a mis à l’aise et qui était disponible si besoin. La piscine privée sans vis-à-vis et un gros plus. La vue est imprenable sur la nature. Pas mal d’activités aquatiques sur le lac de la Gimone tout près en voiture. Si vous avez un doute, foncez c’est une superbe occasion de se relaxer et de s’amuser seul, en couple, entre amis ou en famille.

der beste Urlaub :)
absolut tolles Haus mit Pool und super Panoramablick und perfekter Lage. Wer die Ruhe und Tiere liebt, kommt voll auf seine Kosten. Vermieterin ist sehr nett und sympathisch.Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt, bei Fragen stand die Vermieterin jederzeit zur Verfügung. The little Rossignol is een geweldige plek! We zijn er twee weken mogen zijn en we hebben enorm genoten! Het weer was de eerste week wat wisselend maar elke dag zon, zeker de tweede week! Zwemmen in de pool was echt heerlijk!! Het uitzicht magnefique!! De Pyrénées ongelooflijk mooi! Het huisje was goed van alles wat je nodig had voorzien! jolie petite maison, située dans un lieu calme et magnifique
Notre location nous a entièrement satisfaite, paysage à perte de vue, endroit calme. La météo ne nous a pas été favorable, mais nous avons tout de même eu la chance de voir la Chaîne des Pyrénées, c'était magnifique avec cette neige au sommet. Nous nous sommes rendus à Lourdes qui se situe à 1 Heure de route. La petite maison est vraiment l'idéal pour des vacances paisibles. Nous nous sommes rendus au restaurant "Les Arches de Préville" à Boulogne sur Gesse. Le repas y était succulent, goûteux, et de qualité. De plus au niveau tarif, très raisonnable. Si vous passez par là, faites y une halte, vous ne serez pas déçus. Tout était parfait pour ce séjour dans les pyrénées, dommage que le temps n'y était pas, car il y a de nombreuses randonnées à faire. A refaire si nous en avons l'occasion

We spent three very relaxing weeks in Lalanne, during which we were able to fully enjoy the exclusive location of the property in a unique French landscape. The house was ideal for a stay with our labrador dogs, who could roam freely on the property. Our stay was optimally supported by the very friendly and helpful landlords, so that we did not lack information and technical support. A stay in April is also highly recommended. Bad weather can always be compensated by great excursions. When the sun shines, the feeling of summer sets in immediately. To be honest, we would buy the property in a heartbeat!

Cher monsieur. Je suis surprise et déçue de votre commentaire car dans les 8 ans de location je n’ai jamais eu moins de 4 étoiles et c’est la raison pour laquelle que je suis un hôte première sur Abritel. J’essaye toujours s’accommoder mes clients pour assurer leur confort et bien-être et je suis à disposition pour tout ce qu’il faut. Au subject du chauffage si vous nous l’aviez fait savoir j’aurai pu vous donner encore plus de chauffage électrique. En réponse à votre message sur les frais en plus de chauffage je vous ai bien envoyer un message pour vous le faire savoir en avance et Abritel m’assure que ce message a été lu. De plus, en bon geste on a supprimer ce frais car vous étiez adamant de ne pas l’avoir reçu. Je prend cependant en compte ceci et je ferai en sorte que ce soit plus clair pou le futur sur le site. C’est aussi suprenant au niveau confort du lit car on a un nouveau sur lit et on n’a jamais eu de commentaire négatif mais je prend bien ceci en compte. Merci. Cordialement, Gail

Idéal pour une semaine de repos
Petite maison, très confortable avec beaucoup de caractères, conforme à la description. La vue sur les Pyrénées est magnifique. Il faudrait prévoir un frigo de la taille supérieure pour stocker plus d'aliments au frais, sans devoir faire appel à Gail (tranquillité partagée) . La piscine a été très appréciée durant cette période de canicule. Grand merci à Gail

Un sitio para poder desconectar de la ciudad y conectar con la naturaleza.
La casa esta en una ubicación perfecta si lo que buscas es tranquilidad, tiene unos paisajes increíbles! La casa esta muy bien equipada, con todo lo necesario. Hay senderos cerca de la casa para hacer excursiones y pueblos muy bonitos. A nosotros nos ha gustado mucho!! Hemos tenido privacidad en todo momento y el trato de la propietaria hacia nosotros ha sido muy bueno. Un sitio para volver a repetir...

The perfect getaway
I like movies as "The Holiday" and "Love actually", exceptionally when one of the caracteres decided to go to France and write on his book! I wanted to try that too. So after a short Google search I found the area and then "Le Petit Rossignol" on the Holidu site. The pictures really caught my eye - and it is close to the Pyranees! Actually, when I woke up the first day the mountains were even bigger than I had imagined, and after a talk with Gail I drow down to Pic Du Midi. Amassing! The rural area is a little bit like in the movie "Chocolate" and the farmers drove around on the fields preparing for the summer to come. Also after a talk with Gail I went for a walk "in the neighbourhood" following the canal. Easy to walk and goes on for many miles so just follow it home again when you want. I also visited the small villages nearby. The lovely little house is so beautifully placed on the hill with an amazing view, and quiteness, so you easely can hear the birds sing. And follow the cows as the wander on the hills. The little gite had everything I needed, and the kitchen is perfect for morning coffee, and preparing dinner and so on. There is an DVD instead of Google Chrome and I really liked that. I also had the pleasure of a "fresh" april swim in the pool. I could imagine in summer it's nice to cool down in the heat. "Le Petit Rissingol" created some wunderful memories for me, and if you are looking for a place in the peaceful countryside of southern France this is definitely worth a visit!

In werkelijkheid nog mooier
De vakantiewoning is heel mooi gelegen met een mooi uitzicht. Het was er nog mooier dan op de foto’s. De woning is wel best afgelegen maar omdat de eigenaars achter je wonen geeft het wel een veilig gevoel.

Nous avons passé, avec notre fils de 4 ans, une semaine parfaite dans cette maison à la vue grandiose. Très beau jardin bien entretenu, maison fonctionnelle et confortable, piscine très agreable. Gail et son mari nous ont très bien accueilli et restent disponibles au besoin. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Idéal pour se reposer et faire quelques promenades ou visites.
