Accepted Answer

The best time to visit Poipu is during the shoulder seasons of April to June and September to November, when the weather is consistently pleasant, and the crowds are thinner.

During these months, you'll experience warm, sunny days superb for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities. The ocean temperatures are ideal for swimming and snorkelling, and the likelihood of rain is lower compared to the winter months. This period offers a good balance of excellent weather and fewer visitors, which means you can enjoy the popular spots without feeling overwhelmed.

For those looking for the calmest ocean conditions, typically for activities like snorkelling and paddleboarding, May and October often provide exceptionally clear and still waters. This makes it an ideal time for families with younger children or anyone wanting to fully enjoy the marine life.

While December to March is also popular due to holiday travel, it's the busiest and most expensive period, with a higher chance of rain. Conversely, July and August are hot and humid, attracting families on summer holidays, leading to larger crowds.
