"This is our sixth stay over 14 years at Kuhio Shores Surf Song unit. Prior we stayed in Maui but fell in love with Kauai and the mountains. "We had the absolute best stay at the Koa Kea. We loved how the resort is on the smaller side, and you can easily walk out of your room and to the pool, beach, or to some nearby businesses (little fish, puka dog, surf shop..). The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well. I also loved being greeted with real leis, chocolate for our honeymoon, and wine in the room when we arrived! The pool bar had some yummy food, and good drinks. The sunrise yoga was fantastic as well. We stayed here for our honeymoon and actually preferred it to the first half of our trip, when we stayed at Hotel 1 Hanalei. Again, we loved how small and intimate Koa Kea felt, and it had a calm, relaxing vibe with mostly adults staying at the property. We already can't wait to come back again for an anniversary in the future."

"All good, good service. I would love another restaurant option inside the resort, since this area of the island doesn’t offer too much options. They only have one restaurant by the pool, would be very nice to have another option and maybe the closing time be a little bit more late. Everything in the island closes at 9pm, I would love that the resort your staying offer you the option to have food available until 10pm for example. Other than that the resort is beautiful!"

"Lovely, well equipped 1 bedroom. This condo is in a great location - close to beaches, shops; the highlight is sitting on the lanai or in the main room watching the shifting tides, seeing the sea turtles near the surface, listening to the waves crash, watching the moonlight light up the ocean. This is a quiet peaceful place. The condo also offers the ability to go to the Poipu Athletic Club, and the excellent Beach House restaurant is next door to the condo."

"What a lovely place to stay! It is not new and "fancy", but clean and comfortable and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could need, including beach chairs, towels, a cooler and ice packs. Plenty of fresh towels, toilet paper, paper towels and even detergent for the on site laundry room. The pool and grounds are lovely and it is very quiet (except for the morning roosters!) The view from the balcony is amazing. We would definitely stay here again!"

"This was a nice, slightly dated room in a cozy property with a very helpful and communicative host. We did have a couple of issues though. First there was construction going on in the unit next door for at least two of the 3 days we were there. It was fairly loud and annoying especially during siesta time (on a Saturday and Sunday!) but was not quite to the point of being totally unbearable. We loved having the AC and amenities of the unit. The Bed was fairly comfortable but the main problem was that the curtains did not cover a large eastern facing window that made it impossible to sleep in at all. The sun shines directly in your face at the head of the bed and trying to rig a towel or something to cover it is very difficult. Similarly, the light on the AC unit shines directly in your face at the head of the bed all night. So, between the night light blaring in your face, the light and heat of the very early morning sun, and the afternoon construction, sleeping was heavily impacted. Otherwise the room is situated in a fairly good location within close driving distance of shops, food, etc and a nice view."
