"This is a perfectly nice and cute hotel in a good location near the stadium. Apparently it is one of three locations across the city, and they all share CENTRALIZED guest services staff. Said another way, there is no staff onsite to help you with anything, including opening the front door. You have to complete check in online, including a photo of your ID and a selfie for identity verification, before you can get a key... to be clear, that is a key to the building AND your room. If you like me haven't done this yet, you have to call the number on a piece of paper taped to the window and they will text you things to do while you and your bags stand on the sidewalk as long as is required to get through checkin. Luckily Im tech savvy, but if this had been my parents for instance, who are in their sixties and relatively savvy themselves, there would be no hope. Once you're in, the hotel is cute and fine. Then again, lack of staff was a huge inconvenience as I needed to stow my bags for the day before an evening flight, but no staff to do that. I had to uber to a hotel near where I was going and use their bell desk. So unnecessary. Note to The Chicago Hotel: this model doesn't work, and I wouldn't recommend anyone do this to themselves when there's plenty of other places to stay."

"Second time I've stayed here in less that a year; loved it first time, this time not so much. The breakfast vouchers that were included with the room last time were an extra expense this time; breakfast was not in usual space first 3 of 4 days, and we were misguided by desk personnel about where it was on the first 2 of those days; encountered LOTS of dirty dishes (including a cereal bowl with a tiny dead centipede in it). To be fair, the food itself was as good as we remembered it. Various other glitches, the worst of which was hearing (on 7th floor) the drum machine (on 1st floor) until 2a.m. one night. Overall, it was a good stay, but not the nearly perfect experience of last year."

"I chose this hotel based on location and proximity to my work conference. I was pleasantly surprised with the amazing customer service, cleanliness of the room and amenities available. I even noticed the main in my room used an “Emily hotel” zip tie for one of my chargers that wasn’t tied up. So sweet of her! I also enjoyed the coffee bar downstairs. I tried the tuna bowl with quinoa downstairs at the Faro restaurant. It was okay. The service was very slow and not as friendly as the hotel staff was!"
