"First of all it is a very big property so there are long walks to whatever you want to go to and the tram is very slow and takes a while to come get you. The restaurants all close early which I find very unreasonable for travelers. Air conditioning did not work in one of my rooms. Just not overly satisifed."

"Our stay last week at The Fairmont Orchid was fantastic. Starting with the superlative attention and thoughtful detail by Ms. Pua at our check in, the stay was extraordinary in every regard. The incomparable care we felt from all the staff reflects the lasting legacy that makes a stay at the Fairmont so unique. This trip alone we stayed at 3 other 5 star resorts, and though the others were even more expensive, the care and gracious generosity from the staff at the Orchid is without peer. A thousand thanks to all. We look forward to returning to this magical property."

"The room was clean and the shower had good water pressure. The view from the partial ocean view room was really good better than I was anticipating. The only thing I wasn't happy with was they charged me $25 to park my car in there parking lot that wasn’t advertised when booking but overall it was a decent place."

"The building and overall interior are overdue for a makeover and clean up. For the price this should be better looking without cracks and old stained paint. In my experience this is should be a $150-$200 a night hotel. Anything above at its current condition is not worth it. The lanai was great sell for us included a slightly building obstructed view. Overall a good enough view of ocean and sunset. The plantar box on outside of lanai was non existent just a dirty stained area where plants etc should have been. One large roach visited us on the lanai. None noticed inside. *Another hotel charging additional for parking is not appreciated when staying for more than a few days. It must be included at those prices."
