"No pool as advertised, which was one of the reasons we went, and it was pretty noisy."

"We have stayed at Stone Gate a number of times over the years. First the positive, comfortable bed and there is a nice breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately the first room we got, a 8" chunk of plaster had fallen from the ceiling by the bed, and there was another chunk ready to fall. The next room we got was an upgrade, but there were bits of plaster stuck to the bathroom floor and both lights in the vanity area did not work. (The light in the shower/toilet area worked). We hope Stone Gate will maintain the property as we like going there, but may look at other properties if we are going to Orillia again."

"The room was clean, very big for a cheap price! Hotel staff was super friendly and very helpful when needing help to carry my dogs crate to my room. "

"Breakfast was not as good as the last time I stayed at the Comfort Inn The A/C in my room didn’t keep the room cool I can’t help but wonder why the smokers ( cannabis included ) are allowed right outside the rooms on the ground floor when anywhere else, as per the law states, must be 9 meters from any doors. Just curious"

"The staff was great. We got there well before check in because we had to work that day and they found us a room although there was a $50 early check in which the room wouldn’t be occupied all day so I don’t see the need in that. The blackout curtains didn’t work in the room we had to use a pants hanger to keep them closed and after a day of being out in Barrie our room wasn’t made up the hot tub was more of a warm tub which I don’t know if it’s just because we went there later in the night. Overall mediocre experience but great staff."

"The Inn was surprisingly delightful. We'll decorated, very clean, good customer service, comfortable bed, and easy parking. Small pool looked inviting but had a busy schedule. Small fridge with microwave, with space utilized well in the room. I will definitely stay again if in Barrie area."
