"Under new ownership since late 2025, but new owners are very personable and are keeping up earlier high standards. For pet owners, the motel’s pet-friendliness is a big plus. Convenient short drives to Great Sand Dunes NP, Ft Garland Museum & Cultural Center (a wonderful must visit), San Luis (oldest town in CO). One hour drives to Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad in Antonito, Joyful Journey hot springs spa in Moffat (another must visit), and the UFO Watchtower (a crazy roadside attraction only found in America!) "

"Run down and in disrepair; not worth the charge. The guests in the room next to mine kept their TV on LOUD and ALL NIGHT. I did not get any much needed rest! If I would have driven to the hotel before making my reservation, I would NOT have stayed."

"This was truly a gem! Our family stayed 3 nights and could not be happier. The house was clean, comfortable, and roomy. The kitchen is fully stocked, the beds are comfortable and the view from the back y cannot be beat. We loved watching the sunset and stars from there. This is a must stay if you can snag it! "

"Beautiful home with incredible mountain views. Star gazing from the hot tub was our favorite! Make sure you bring food as there’s only one small true grocery store in town and supplies/hours are limited. Loved it and would absolutely come back!! "
