"We really enjoyed our stay at sound rider. The house was recently renovated and you can tell a lot of care and attention to detail was made to use and maintain nice materials and functionality, which helped the house feel new and luxurious. The location was perfect for us, who wanted to be able to run back and forth to a surf ramp each day. The kids loved having a canal at the house where they could look for crabs and fish. You can see they bay in the distance from the top deck, over which the sun would set. Being that far out in the ocean the stars are super clear. The host was very responsive to our questions. We found tavern on 12 to be the best place to eat, just minutes from the house."

"Clean in common environment, great communication with the host. Beach access right down the road. It was the most convenient and fantastic stay we had in the area in a while."

"Check in was smooth but they didn’t reach out though the home was ready earlier as they advised they would. Extremely misleading for the “heated pool” as it is an additional 350 and this was not disclosed to us and cannot be purchased later. There were tons of items broken throughout the home (blinds, pool gate, stove only had 2 burners working, etc.) The cleanliness was decent but you could tell it was a rush job and they didn’t take their time. The trash cans were overflowing the day we arrived and couldn’t be emptied until Monday. The WiFi password was changed while we were on site and by the time they sent someone we had to figure it out ourselves. Beautiful house and location though. "

"This house was perfect for my family! The deck was relaxing,with the sounds of the crashing waves. The location was great, close to the beach and a few restaurants nearby. Not alot of people (which is wonderful)"

"Great location and dog friendly. Very clean and loved the upper deck view - great for star gazing! Short walk to gorgeous Frisco beach. Quiet peaceful neighborhood ! Re cottage: rather "barebones " with exposed hanging wires and minimal bed linens. Appliances a bit dated esp coffeemaker rusted but useable. Major issues with wifi- no internet our entire stay. Also no washer/dryer (which is usually a must at the beach. Most of this minor though as it was the location we needed for a quick weekend! So close to Frisco, Hatteras and Buxton. "

"The host offered an upgraded unit . The tiny house . It was lovely and efficient for our 31st anniversary. Cozy warm and the beach walking distance. Very quiet location especially during the winter. Perfect for couples wanting quality time. "
