The dunes made the walk to the beach a little more difficult than expected, but it's also part of the charm - once you are at the beach, you cannot see the houses because of their height, so you feel like you are at an undeveloped beach away from it all! Great experience. 2 complaints/suggestions if you are considering this house or the area in general that I wish I had known. #1) NOTHING comes in the house. No soap, no towels, sheets if you pay for them, no toilet paper, no trash bags. Nothing. Bring your own. I do not believe this was clearly explained and was a big pain. #2) If you're not familiar with this part of the outer banks, there is a very large sand dunes area between the "oceanfront" homes and the actual beach. If you are physically limited, elderly, out of shape, big families etc. You will be wiped out just trekking to beach even if you are Oceanfront. Again, this not specific to this house, it's the entire area, just be aware. ##### Don B.
