This is ideally situated near the closest monuments and within easy walking distance to all. Parking is difficult because you have to find an off site garage and that can make a short walk into a very long walk with luggage! Overall though, this place was excellent!

Lovely place and so convenient to downtown. The breakfast hostess is a little brusque to non-Italians, but I lived in Italy for a year of college, so, I get it.

The property was great with a very good location. It was modest in amenities but well taken care. The staff members were nice. However, I was requested to reuse my coffee cup in the coffee machine which I think it is unsanitary. The coffee machine was not design to reuse of cups. I will advise a dishwasher for breakfast area. I noticed that cups are washed by hand.

My husband, two children, and I stayed here for two nights. The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful. Claudia checked us in and upon leaving, Maria Pia checked us out and called us a cab to the train station, which we were very thankful for. Daniel carried our bags to our room, which was great because the elevator couldn’t accommodate us all with our luggage. We had a two bedroom apartment on the second floor and it was nice to have two bathrooms. Everything was pretty clean; however, if you walk around barefoot on the hotel room floor you may want to rinse your feet before putting on shoes. The location was wonderful; walking distance to a ton of restaurants and shops. I also loved that you could fill up your water bottles in the lobby. Jenny in housekeeping was very sweet to our daughters and offered them some food from the cafe for the road. Would recommend!

Great hotel - close to Piazza Signoria - less than 5 min walk to Uffizi and Palazzo Vechio and just 10 min away from Duomo. Parking was easy, as the driver valet parked the car within 10 min after the request. Our room had a unique character, with 2 rooms and 2 baths, which made it convenient for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenage kids. The breakfast was good, but not great. The croissant was not as good as what we had in Venice, and the boiled egg was not fresh. The hot chocolate and coffee were good, and so was the cereal options. The elevator is useful to carry heavy luggage to the higher floors, but it is very small - only one person with one piece of luggage.

We liked the location. The friendly staff and how clean everything is. When we first walked into our room it seemed a bit old, but the size of the room was big and the bed was comfortable and felt very comfortable there. It wasn’t quiet but consider where you are! Would stay there again.

The B&B Galileo 2000 is situated in a perfect position to explore Florence, all the must see sites are within walking distance, the room we had was the 'Romantic' room and was plenty big enough although there was no view from our window other than into another property, the room was cleaned daily to a high standard. Would recommend as an ideal place to stay as it's so conveniently situated.

Property location is good. But otherwise, property is really really dirty. The hallway in our room was dirty, and nothing was done when reported. Also there was a bunk bed in the room, and my kid was afraid to sleep in the upper side. We tried opening the sofa bed and it was broken. When we reported, we were asked the question who authorized us to open the bed! Breakfast options were good.
