"I have been staying at Homewood Suites for many years when I visit the St. Jacob/Waterloo area and it is one of the finest Hotels. It is convenient to the Farmers Market and the Outlet Mall is right next door. Rooms are spacious, clean and has a full kitchen with stove, full size refrigerator and dishwasher. Staff are friendly and willing to see that your stay is memorable. Breakfast is free and consists of hot and cold buffet items with plentiful choices."

"We were travelling with another couple and booked two room's which were identical in size and characteristics. Unfortunately our friends rooms had the odour of stale cigarette smoke which intensified upon using the AC. Our coffee pot was broken and the carpet was very dirty as my hubby’s socks were a write off from only after maybe an hour of no shoes, the shower floor well worn and the furniture had seen better days. I think this hotel is also used for people to live in temporarily as our rooms were equipped with mini fridges/sinks/sitting areas etc and had we known that we probably wouldn’t have booked there as the rooms run down conditions then made sense. Not saying there is anything wrong with long term “bookings” but it wasn’t the most comfortable accommodation due to the above. For one night it was ok but probably won’t book there again. There was questionable characters just hanging out in the parking lot in and around their vehicles which when we questioned the front desk about, worried about the safety of our vehicles for the night we were told were apparently also guests of the hotel. Just a strange vibe all around."

"Everything was good once we checked in. I understand business, but a bit offputting when we first arrived - parking lot was empty, no one there - we arrived at 1:15 and was told check in was 2;30 - BUT - for $50 we could check in early. Sorry, we laughed, was not paying $50 for 75 minutes when our rate was $192 per night. Seemed too petty. Our issue for arriving early ... but still..."

"Our stay was beyond our expectations. We saw that the hotel was rated a 2 star but reviews of guests were good. It was everything we wanted in a hotel and more! Clean, comfortable, great lobby space, pool was nicely heated, coffee station and great buffet breakfast along with parking included! Would definitely stay here again!"

"Great property with really polite staff. Great location. Only one suggestion for the management - there was not a single microwave on premises. Having one would definitely help just in case a guest need to warm up food, etc."
