Dino Cave | Private Backyard | Sleeps 5 Guests!

8/10 Good
"House is old and showing its age, but it has been turned into a quaint little home away from home. Much smaller than we expected but okay for the two of us for a couple of nights. Beautifully tidied for our arrival - kudos to the cleaning crew! Very well outfitted kitchen. Took my hubby a while to get used to doing dishes by hand, though, LOL! Great communication with management company beforehand, and accessible when we had a problem with the lock (instructions on how to use the keypad would be helpful). Clear instructions/expectations and helpful recommendations in guest binder. Pet friendly, but glad we were able to leave the dog at home because he could have gotten out of the yard through a gap in the fence beside the gate. Nice to have yard though, and fence could easily be sealed. Don't like that booking is non-refundable if cancelling within 30 days of arrival date. We took a chance that nothing was going to come up. Overall a good visit, but felt a bit pricey given size and condition. Guess it was still summer/high season, plus you do pay extra for special amenities like pet-friendly, private yard and patio. Would probably stay again depending on season (ie. price) and whether or not dog was joining us (he needs fenced yard)."

"Older motel but very clean inside, bed a bit firm for my liking. But good location, decent parking in a safe area."

"This was a really nice stay! We booked last minute and were happy to snag this. The beds were both kings and very comfortable. Communication with the hosts was fantastic and they were extremely accommodating and nice to work with. There were good fans in both bedrooms and in the living room and the house stayed cool (we kept the blinds and drapes closed during the day) temp was about 26 degrees outside on the days we stayed. There was bucket of Dino toys and blocks for the kids that got a lot of play and was a nice touch. The Roku worked perfectly and was all we needed for TV. There was more space than we thought which was nice for the kids to run around. The decor itself was very well done. Sheets were soft. There was little to complain about. Keep in mind this is an older home, so it does have character in terms of scuffs/age, but it’s well maintained overall. We did notice there was an unpleasant smell right by the round glass table in the living room on the night we arrived, but it had disappeared by the time we returned later that evening and we didn’t notice it again—maybe some sort of cleaning product? That was the only thing I could really complain about and it was very short lived. I would def stay here again :-)"
