The place, the view and the accommodation of the owner was absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

We had an excellent 3 night stay at Mauna Lani Bay Hotel. We chose it for its location on the Kona side of the island, but off of 'resort row'. After a very long travel day, it was wonderful to be welcomed Hawaiian style with a shell and kukui nut lei, fresh fruit juice and cold towels. Aston Kona By The Sea is a pleasant 13 minute drive from Kona International Airport through touristy Ali'i Drive, but far enough from the madding crowd to enjoy peace and privacy. Very nice clean and friendly hotel.

Very comfortable bed, great A/C and view. The only thing was that the rubber baseboard that was glued to the bathtub had accumulated a lot of gunk at the end and needed cleaning.

The location is absolutely amazing being right on the ocean. The restaurant is always really good and I’ve been going there on and off since 2009and have never been disappointed. Nice pool space. Hard to leave.

Perfect location

Very nice place to stay near all the action. Easily walk to restaurants and the ocean. Only downfall is that our apartment didn’t provide the internet password so if you were there for a while that would be a bummer. Other than that very comfortable with most of the amenities you would need.
