"Overall the room was clean, the bathroom was okay. Breakfast was complementary and good. Will return and recommend."

"We checked in and immediately got to our room and noticed two what appeared to blood stains on the floor. I went down and asked for another room which they obliged, however, did not seem surprised at all. The reassigned room was run down and worn out. The wall thermostat didn't work which left us freezing our first night, we ended up using the controls directly on the wall unit to get some type of climate control. The shower water was lukewarm and the tub did not drain well so you were left standing in 3 inches of water during your shower. Not impressed and this is the furthest thing from a "4 star" hotel. For what we paid we left extremely disappointed and feel completely deceived and ripped off."

"Gables Inn is a lovely collection of old building that have been joined together. Each room is very individual and there may be quite a few stairs connecting the different parts of the hotel, so let them know if you have mobility issues. Closer to the waterfront, shops and restaurants."

"Area safe, clean, and walkable. The building, an upgraded 70's style hotel, had two enclosed courtyards, (one had a pool). Visitor access to the lobby computer/printer/scanner. Vending machines, snacks sold in lobby, dedicated reading area with calming music. A+ for this category hotel."

"We found The Evergreen extreemly convenient and good value for money. The assistant manager and staff were very helpful in accomodating our needs. The room was clean with good quality amenities, e.g. Nespresso coffee. We will stay again."
