The Beach House Hotel Half Moon Bay

4100 Cabrillo Hwy N, Half Moon Bay - Map
My husband and I flew into San Fran late afternoon and stayed at Half Moon Bay for the night before heading to Napa for a few days. Front desk staff was very friendly and provided a list of restaurants for dinner recommendations. Continental breakfast was good, we took a tray to our room and had our breakfast on the patio looking out over the water. No complaints, we would come back.

"The best hotel stay experience EVER!"
WOW! Allow me to elaborate! The staff was so nice and amazing! Laura at the front desk pulled out a map and showed us places to eat or which direction to walk. They held our luggage for us when we checked out until we had to leave for our flight while we were out and about in the city. The room was amazing as well as room service. I would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in San Francisco!

"Very nice hotel, close to everything."
Excellent hotel, staff very friendly especially Sean at the front desk. if you need to know anything about San Francisco and to get directions just ask Sean, he will tell you everything you need to know. The only take back is the hotel does not offer a shuttle to downtown, we took the Bart instead and what a nightmare that was, unlike New York Subway, signs are not clear and we had no idea where we going. We had to switch 3 trains to get from downtown to the Airport (never again). The breakfast and the reception at the hotel were excellent.

"Just fine"
The bathroom is tired but overall fine experience. Interne worked. Food at happy hour was a bit greasy. Well really greasy offerings. The veggies were just...there. The chips a bit..greasy. Food at happy hour could be more inspiring.

"Very thin walls"
We were 3 doors down from the elevator and could hear the dings and the doors opening . Also, the beds are so in need of being upgraded or replaced. Way too soft and mushy. Othewise, very nice room and breakfast is excellent.

There are so many things to do in San Francisco, it’s difficult to know where to start.

So why not begin with a place where you can do a lot of things at once? We’re talking about Fisherman’s Wharf. Located on the upper east side of the city, Fisherman’s Wharf hosts a number of attractions, including shopping, dining, restaurants, a carousel, and the Aquarium of the Bay. Where else can your kids learn about the local sea life and enjoy some clam chowder in a sourdough bowl? You can stick with the animal theme and head 10 km across town to the San Francisco Zoo. Polar bears, lemurs, and wolverines, oh my! Your little ones will love the critters, and you’ll love the zoo’s beautiful layout.

Want more family fun in San Francisco? The San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, located on the northern end of the city, is full of antique sailing ships and exhibits to explore. Learn how to set square-rigged sails on the Balclutha, or go for a jaunt around the bay on the schooner Alma. After a long day of exploration and excitement in San Francisco, a family hotel is the perfect place to retreat for some R&R. If you’re visiting in the winter, we recommend booking a hotel near Union Square, so you can bring the kids to see the ever-changing Winter Walk.

A family vacation is meant to be cherished and enjoyed. Get your trip off on the right foot and book with; you’ll get our Best Price Guarantee on our selection of San Francisco hotels. That means more money in your wallet instead of spent on accommodation. Isn’t that worth another trip to Pier 39?
