Kimpton Sir Francis Drake Hotel - San Francisco Hotels

Kimpton Sir Francis Drake Hotel

450 Powell Street, San Francisco - Map
"Historic hotel near downtown and Union Square. "
The hotel is classic with lots of charm and history. The service was great and we loved the period dressed door men. You can also find a trolley stop just outside the hotel on Powell St. A couple drawbacks to an old hotel included a wait for the elevators on occasion and lots of road noise from sirens, horns, and trolley bells. We even changed rooms because of it, but the staff was very accommodating with this process. I suggest requesting a room on the back of the hotel. If you get above the 12th floor, you have a great view of downtown and the bay.

The Beach House Hotel Half Moon Bay

4100 Cabrillo Hwy N, Half Moon Bay - Map
"Beautiful beach front resort"
First time there, always wanted to go to Half Moon Bay. The resort is right on the beach, and you can smell the clams and breath in the fresh crisp air. The temperature in the evening was perfect! The room is so comfortable you can even take a nap right on your private balcony. Continental breakfast included, with free parking! Next to a clam house that serves a delicious lobster bake umm.

Omni San Francisco Hotel - San Francisco Hotels
Rating: 4.5 Stars

Omni San Francisco Hotel

500 California St, San Francisco - Map
The hotel had an upgraded lobby. My group meets there monthly and the valet parking is convenient to get to from the BAy Bridge. The room is nice and clean but would prefer a pillow that is not too soft but no choice was given.

"Nice People"
The hotel was clean but on the older side. The rooms were OK, and the staff was very friendly. There were other hotels in the areas if you are looking for a newer facility, but overall it was good. The breakfast was very good.

There are so many things to do in San Francisco, it’s difficult to know where to start.

So why not begin with a place where you can do a lot of things at once? We’re talking about Fisherman’s Wharf. Located on the upper east side of the city, Fisherman’s Wharf hosts a number of attractions, including shopping, dining, restaurants, a carousel, and the Aquarium of the Bay. Where else can your kids learn about the local sea life and enjoy some clam chowder in a sourdough bowl? You can stick with the animal theme and head 10 km across town to the San Francisco Zoo. Polar bears, lemurs, and wolverines, oh my! Your little ones will love the critters, and you’ll love the zoo’s beautiful layout.

Want more family fun in San Francisco? The San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, located on the northern end of the city, is full of antique sailing ships and exhibits to explore. Learn how to set square-rigged sails on the Balclutha, or go for a jaunt around the bay on the schooner Alma. After a long day of exploration and excitement in San Francisco, a family hotel is the perfect place to retreat for some R&R. If you’re visiting in the winter, we recommend booking a hotel near Union Square, so you can bring the kids to see the ever-changing Winter Walk.

A family vacation is meant to be cherished and enjoyed. Get your trip off on the right foot and book with; you’ll get our Best Price Guarantee on our selection of San Francisco hotels. That means more money in your wallet instead of spent on accommodation. Isn’t that worth another trip to Pier 39?
