    Ireland Hotel Guide

Ireland is known for its music, literature, friendly residents, and green landscapes, and despite its small size, the country offers many experiences to tourists. Dublin is a city rich in history dating back to its founding by Vikings more than 1,000 years ago. It may be the only city in the world where the central post office is a major attraction and an important part of the country's history as it was the site of the 1916 Easter Rising that eventually led to Ireland's independence. Today, the city has a vibrant theatre scene, top restaurants, and a lively nightlife. Numerous day trips from Dublin are available with travel to the Neolithic tomb of Newgrange or to the ruins of a medieval monastery at Glendalough among the most popular. Expedia can assist visitors with booking hotels in Ireland.

The southwest of Ireland enjoys better weather than many other parts of the country, and the Ring of Kerry, which is a trip around the Kerry peninsula, is a popular destination. The Aran Islands off the coast of Galway offer visitors a stark and unusual landscape. Due to the limited accommodation there, it is best to book rooms well in advance. Rural destinations such as these are particularly likely to offer a special discount in the off-season when tourist numbers fall and prices drop.

Ireland hotels range from inexpensive budget lodgings to grand historical country houses. Travelling during the off-season can be a good time to get cheap hotel deals in Ireland. Because the weather is unpredictable throughout much of the year, making reservations during the off-season is less of a compromise than it might be for other destinations. Outdoorsy types will need to be prepared for inclement weather regardless of the time of year, and many of the attractions of the country do not require a guarantee of pleasant weather. Some attractions may be closed during the winter, however, so visitors with specific destinations and itineraries in mind should plan ahead.

If travelling during the off-season is not practical or desirable, visitors can still find Ireland hotel packages year-round. Ireland hotel deals often include breakfast and other perks in the price. The earlier that visitors make reservations, the better the rates will be. A cheap Ireland hotel deal can make the difference between taking the trip and staying home.

    "Well worth the price!"
The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Our biggest complaint was no top sheet and only a duvet cover which got too hot. The bathroom was large with two double sinks and a lovely marble countertop. The staff was super nice and helpful. The location was excellent. We had an included breakfast and it was terrific. The hotel is a bit shabby chic but well worth the price.

Love this hotel! It was beautiful! Only downfall was it was about 15 minutes from downtown Dublin, but I knew that when I booked it. It is very easy to catch the city bus or take a taxi.

    "Perfect Location"
The Westbury is located right in the heart of the Dublin Shopping district. It is very old world luxury. The rooms were spotlessly clean. Bedding was luxurious. The bathroom was done in marble and had lovely thick towels and a towel warmer. I would recommend to anyone.

"Great location, clean & comfortable friendly staff"
The hotel is well located with good public transport links & very short walk onto the main shopping & restaurant streets of the City. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms a good size, clean, comfortable and plenty of hot water. Internet good. River views are lovely but you are beside a road.I didn't find it noisy but if you are sensitive to that you might. Nice bar with really good locally brewed beer and food reasonable both in price and taste. Would definitely stay there again.
