"Convenient location"
Spitting distance from the airport and just after a reasonably priced garage to fill up the hire car. Late check ins and a cheerful clean room. Stayed with my daughter for just one night before an early flight back from Cork airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Crawford House

Western Road, Cork - Map
Crawford house is a decent B&B close to Cork city center. First I would like to talk about the positives. The location is close to Cork city center and the staff was friendly and helpful towards the guests. The elderly lady who manages Crawford house and Killarney house, is a nice person. She welcomed me warmly and took care little request like arranging for a taxi. The housekeeping staff did a good job and cleaned the rooms daily. The rooms were functional. Now coming to what needs to be improved. Some things need to be updated, like the very old carpets. The knobs for the bathtub were worn out, and required a good deal of fiddling to get the water at right temperature. Otherwise you have very hot or very cold water. Not an issue for most people, but I can see how it can be an issue for elderly, kids. The weather in Cork was a bit chilly at the time of my visit, but the heating was not switched on. Perhaps they do it only during winters. The wifi is patchy. These days its quite abnormal to have facilities with poor wifi connectivity.

Hotel was clean, quiet and convenient for St Fin Barre. About a ten minute walk to Grand Parade and St Patricks street, which seemed longer after a very enjoyable night out.

The hotel was very nice and had everything you needed for a hotel. I was very surprised with the food being very nice and I must admit out of all the hotels I visit (which is 10 a month) this was the best, as the waiters where exemplary, courteous, friendly and most of all helpful. made my stay more pleasant. also close to a Maccies and other food houses in the town close by.
