    Asia Hotel Guide

When mentioning Asia to most people, immediately thoughts of exotic locales like China and Japan normally spring to mind. Of course, Asia is a massive continent and contains a wider variety of places to visit and enjoy than just the Orient. There are almost fifty countries in Asia that are divided among six different regions. Regardless of where you plan to visit, you can find cheap hotel deals in Asia on Expedia.

Central Asia contains countries such as Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. Central Asia covers an extremely large area of land and is very varied in terms of geography. Here, one can find high mountains, like the Tian Shan, and grassy steppes upon which few or no trees grow, as well as vast deserts.

Eastern Asia includes the People's Republic of China and Japan. Most societies in eastern Asia have been a part of the Chinese cultural sphere, and even much of the vocabulary and writing are derived from Classical Chinese. Sometimes, Japan and Korea are referred to as being in northeastern Asia.

Northern Asia is dominated by Russia. While not all of Russia is in Asia, a small portion of this massive country resides in Europe, and many people think of Russia as almost a separate place from Asia. Siberia, Russia, is famous for its cold weather, as there are no mountain chains stopping Arctic air currents from flowing down over the plains.

In southeastern Asia, you will find locations like Vietnam and Cambodia. Most of the climate year-round is tropically hot and humid, with plenty of rainfall during the wet season. However, north Vietnam is an exception, as they normally have a cold winter. The southeastern Asian rain forest is the second-largest in the world.

Southern Asia includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and the subcontinent of India. Southern Asia is a melting pot of different cultures, which gives it a large ethnic diversity and makes for a fun and exciting vacation.

Western Asia is the home of Turkey, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Iran. As you might have guessed, much of the climate is made up of arid and semi-arid land, though there are large expanses of forest and green valleys tucked away here and there. These regions are beautiful to visit.

"Best choice for full Disneyland experience."
If you want to extend the Disney experience beyond the park, and have an immersive holiday, this hotel is the best. Beautiful extensions of Disney themes into surprising and delightful facets of the stay. Also, due to its location, it allows for the best of the park, such as going early before the crowds, resting mid-day, and returning in the evening when the crowds are again thin, or to watch the night parade and fireworks. Beauty salon for any little princess in your party, great quality restaurants, nice bed linens, beautiful views, world-quality friendly staff, easy transportation to the park and wider Hong Kong area.

    "Great location in Kowloon"
The Sheraton has a great location in Kowloon. It is 2 blocks from the Star Ferry, a block from the harbor to watch the Symphony of Lights and next to the "walk of stars" (that is currently under construction). The Metro and bus lines are within a block of the hotel. We took the Metro out to the Buddha and it is a very easy line to use. For the very serious shoppers the SOGO mall is located on the first floor and basement levels. Just be aware that as you walk down Nathan Road you will be accosted a dozen times for a "suit, fake Rolex, purse" etc. on the block adjacent to the hotel. The hotel is geared to business travelers. We used the free PDA to look up Hong Kong events and excursions in our room so did not have to purchase the internet package. The outdoor pool area and gym are also nice. Went to Tai Pan on Nathan Road and had a great foot massage. This is a great hotel to take a rest and get away from everyone because you will be worn out from sightseeing in Hong Kong.

"Perfect location, and great staff help!"
For an American with not Japanese language skills, this is the perfect hotel! The concierge was so very helpful...she actually wrote out a whole step by step cheat sheet for us to get where we wanted to go. It took a a lot of time for her to help,us with our travel plans AND she also called all around, limo from airport, airport, etc. And found my husbands lost wallet! the hotel,is just a few blocks away for tne biggest subway station, which made it very easy to navigate using map from hotel. Would absolutely stay there again,

    "Great location "
This hotel is in a perfect location. The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean and comfortable. Rooms are a bit tight but that is expected in Tokyo. When we checked in we told the woman at the desk that it was our honeymoon so we would love a great room. She put us in a very nice room on the top floor overlooking Mt Fuji. It was wonderful! There was one problem that was a pretty big deal. When we went to check out and get a taxi to the airport we were told that a taxi would be very expensive and that we should have reserved a spot on the bus. Apparently there is a bus that takes you to the airport but it fills up quickly so you need to reserve ahead of time. No one told us that when we checked in. And the day before we left we asked for a late check out and we were still not offered this option. So we wound up paying $26,000 yen for a taxi to narita airport instead of $3,000 for the bus!!! That's almost $200 US dollars. Everything else was great about the hotel, but I hope this review helps future guests so they don't get stuck in the same situation.
