"The Anchorage motel was great for us. It’s a very basic accommodation- but, very walkable with a lot of good restaurants around. The staff were friendly and it was clean."

"This is really a wonderful facility, and the staff/owner was very professional, gracious, and pleasant. The room was quite nice. The problem we had is that it is a little bit too far to walk to downtown, which is kind of important because the parking and downtown Bar Harbor is absolutely horrendous."

"I was completely shocked when I showed up at the hotel and I received an upgrade due to overbooking. They sent me to their sister hotel. Wow!! Fabulous!! I truly enjoyed. "I should start with, I don't leave reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service that I received from Dave at check in. I felt immediately welcomed and his suggestions for dinner were spot on. The room was clean and quiet. Plus the view was better than area hotels at more than double the cost. Definitely a hidden gem.
