"The facilities were clean & updated. Very close to Acadia National Park entrance & downtown Bar Harbor. This was my first time using VRBO & was unfamiliar with trying to communicate with host but he did answer…the check in was confusing because there was no one in the office at all during our stay & had to figure out how to get into the room. Our family was over all very satisfied with this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent place to stay."

"Nice, clean motel room. Room was large and tastefully decorated. It had a microwave and a small hotel-sized refrigerator and an ice machine outside by the office. Maid brought fresh towels and emptied the trash daily but did not clean the room (you can opt out of this service). It was very quiet and was well outside the heavy tourist traffic found in Bar Harbor. Assigned parking (a single parking slot) is provided right outside the door. "Beautiful property with free parking. Staff was very helpful. Liked that they had a grab and go breakfast for guests. Rooms were very comfortable and large. Mattress was very comfortable. Didn’t like original pillows and they were accommodating to change out pillows and make sure we liked the ones they brought to us."

"This location apparently can also be an extended stay I'm assuming. This isn't made clear in the listing. The only reason this is important is because they don't provide maid service, which in and of itself isn't a big deal. Where it became a problem is we had a unit with a full kitchen, thus we produced some trash that needed to be taken out. First, there was only a small trashcan I the bathroom as you would expect, however there is no other trashcan anywhere in the unit. Being it has a full kitchen I would expect a full trashcan to take care of trash. We also ended up taking our trash to the dumpster ourselves several times to prevent it from building up. We used the paper bags we got from our Walmart order as trash bags. I would have also liked another mirror outside the bathroom. Our room slept 4 people so it would have been nice to have a second mirror to be able to be used while someone else was still getting ready in the bathroom. This is however, just a personal preference. Lastly, twice my husband had to ask for the lobby music to be changed. The first time was a song that repeatedly used the F word. The second was a song that used the Lord's name in vain. Both times the staff easily obliged. The first time they switched the music, second time they turned it off. This was disappointing to have to do at what should be a family establishment. The place was beautiful and clean. We especially loved the local coffee always on hand, the fire in the common area."

"Enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property. Pros: beautiful, clean room with a view. The pool and sauna were good and relaxing. We enjoyed the piano bar and the short nature path and deck. Cons; The part we stayed in had a nice view, but the balcony was not usable due to noise of traffic below. Also, the bed was a bit too soft for my preference. Otherwise a great deal and lovely stay."
