When is the best time to go to Cerro Gordo?

The best time to go to Cerro Gordo is typically from December to May, during the dry season, to enjoy pleasant weather for outdoor activities. During these months, you'll experience less rainfall and comfortable temperatures, great for relaxing on the beach or exploring the area. This period avoids the higher humidity and increased chance of tropical storms that can occur from June to November. Families often find this period ideal for a holiday. The calm, warm waters are great for children to swim and play, and the consistent sunshine makes for enjoyable days spent at the beach. You'll find plenty of opportunities for walks along the coast or picnics in the natural surroundings. Couples looking for a peaceful escape will also appreciate the dry season. The clear skies and gentle breezes create a lovely setting for romantic strolls on the sand or dining al fresco.

Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?

Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel’s cancellation deadline – this is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. If you have a non-refundable booking, it might still be possible to receive a refund if you cancel it within 24 hours of booking. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use our "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right Cerro Gordo hotel for you.

Top Cerro Gordo Hotel Reviews

Armas Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Perfect location at a great price. Felt safe in the heart of Old Town. Right next door to the Department of State and across the street from Plaza de Armas. Bonus, there is a small slushy store to the right of the entrance that sells small liquor bottles, water, juice etc and the afternoon/night clerk gives great local travel tips and advice."

Don Rafa Boutique Hotel & Residences

10/10 Excellent

"I can’t say enough positive things about our stay at Don Rafa. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re transported into a space curated by people who appreciate art and history. The room was lovely and so comfortable and was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed the onsite restaurant with its beautiful views. The staff were warm, welcoming and knowledgeable of the history of region. We also liked the close proximity to local shops and the ability to cross over into the Condado region by foot."

Hilton Garden Inn San Juan Condado

8/10 Good

"The property was clean and the staff was friendly. Our room was facing the street which was very noisy. When booking make sure you are not facing the street. The on site dining was excellent. I would stay again. Good location and having access to the Condado facilities and beach were a huge plus."

La Concha Resort, Puerto Rico, Autograph Collection

10/10 Excellent

"Amazing stay, friendly staff and good food. Only thing I didn’t like that we had to pay to access the nightclub even though we were staying on property. I think since we are already paying to stay there, night club access should be included, especially since the club wasn’t great to begin with."
