Hope to go back! Casa Symbiotca was an absolutely amazing vacation home! It is very spacious and feels even bigger in person than what the online pictures show. The view is INSANELY pretty when you walk inside the front “door” (it’s an exterior door that opens to a covered breezeway that connects the living quarters, sleeping quarters and outside/pool area). We had 12 adults, including our 6 adult children and 3 of their spouses. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and it even felt spacious when we were all in the same room Tere, our concierge from Tropical Homes of Costa Rica, did an exceptional job helping me with airport transfers, local dining reservations, securing chefs for multiple meals, arranging for massages and reserving our Adventure Day! Tere was one of the, if not THE best property assistant I have ever worked with. Our daily housekeeper was super sweet and a very hard worker. It was another benefit of this home to have it cleaned each day. The location of the property is up a steep hill so I would suggest rental car or hire drivers for any outing. We rented a small car from a local vendor, Economy, and had them deliver the car directly to the house (and pick it up) for a small fee. We used this solely to go to the grocery store and to shuttle people to Gracia, the restaurant within the neighborhood. This worked out well! Tere arranged for all of our other travel needs . The pool was awesome! Spent lots of time around it. There were 11 of us (adults and kids) and there was plenty of room for all to sleep, and several common areas to relax, play cards, or watch television. 2 laundry rooms were very helpful. The pool and hot tub area had plenty of shade. The concierge, property manager, and housekeeper all helped make the experience worry-free. It was a short drive to shopping and beaches, and the nearby Mar Vista restaurant was very good. We had a few small hitches, but all were quickly addressed and remedied. The house was very comfortable for us. The house would be equally comfortable for multiple families with many younger kids/teenagers because of the bunk room. We spent most of our time sitting outdoors, in and around the pool. The views and especially the sunsets were just magnificent. Throughout the week, we also enjoyed the workout room, the family game room with pinball and darts, the home theater and the basketball hoop out front. The restaurant in the community, Garcia Mar Vista, was delicious. On the last night we had Miguel cook for us at the house (set up through the concierge). Dinner was delicious. Had we discovered him sooner, we would have had him come more than one night. His price was very reasonable. Tere, our concierge was very helpful leading up to and during the week of out stay. Arianna and the housekeeping staff were delightful and kept the house clean and took care of laundry throughout the week. This was an added bonus for being on vacation. The concierge service was very easy to communicate with and really did all the hard work for me. Lastly, the maid for the house was so sweet and always had a smile. We travelled with three adults and eight children aged 8-16\. The home was absolutely amazing, with the perfect amount of room for teenage and adult privacy and communal space where we made wonderful memories with family and friends. The kids enjoyed the game room and movie room the most and everyone spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor space and pool. Magui, who acted as our host was super responsive and ensured that all of our excursions and meals were seamlessly coordinated. We elected to have cooks come in for dinners each night and selected a range of menus that satisfied both the adults and picky eater kids. Cooker Jorge Jimenez was with us most nights and did an amazing job getting fresh ingredients and preparing them with care. On our last night we celebrated a special family birthday with Chef Gilbert who was outstanding and even brought a cake with candle to help us with the festivities. Ariana, our maid was there 6 days during our stay and went out of her way to take care of us, and kept the house spotlessly clean and even did our laundry every day. Home has everything you would need for a great vacation! Perfect for our family get together (12 adults/teens). Property Owner, Mitch, was easy to communicate with and very accommodating to any needs we had. Ariana, who kept the house clean was fantastic and offered us some great ideas for daily excursions. 4 star rating instead of 5 star was due to a few relatively minor maintenance issues that were not addressed until after our stay was over, but this didn't stop us from really enjoying the house and having an excellent time! ##### Ben Z. I stayed at Casa Symbiotica for my 30th birthday trip and it was everything I wanted in the home I was looking for (and more). I came with my family and friends and my group was 12 women total. Everyone loved the property, all the amenities that came with it, and how spacious the house is. The communication with the property manager was great and she (Maria) was very accommodating. My group also booked a private chef that was recommended by a family member for all of our meals and he (Mario) was amazing and my friends/family loved every meal! Booking the property was straight forward and the Owner (Mitch) answered all of my questions in a very timely manner. The house was spacious and beautifully laid out, providing lots of comfort and entertainment for kids and adults. The two 3-year-olds loved the more shallow part of the pool, while the older kids were excited about the jumping board, movie theater, and game room. The staff was lovely and responded quickly to all needs. The tours we booked through Casa Symbiotica were well organized and worth their value. Flamingo Beach is magical and close by. The pool, the media room, the play room, the basketball and tennis... All were a huge hit with the kids. This was our first time at Casa Symbiotica and this area but seventh trip to Costa Rica. We will be back as this was our favorite place we have ever stayed at. We are two families (11 total) traveling many times together and these were our favorites about the house mostly in order: linens and comfortable beds, large rooms, views and sunsets, heated pool and hot tub, diving board, game room, movie room, grill, and kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Luigi cooked us two amazing meals and Ariana was amazing and with us most days cleaning the house to perfection. This place will create memories for your family in a first-class way! ##### Chad G. We just returned from 10 days at the Casa Symbiotica and had a marvelous time! We had a party of 9 and had plenty of room for all. The pool was amazing and the kids never wanted to leave the house. My daughter loved not having chlorine in her eyes too. We all enjoyed the movie room, and the grandparents were in heaven watching old movies and documentaries. We developed a friendship with the two housekeepers who cleaned so thoroughly and joyfully. I enjoyed walking the steep hills in the mornings and finishing off the workout in the amazing exercise room. No one ever had to to wait for laundry as there are two complete sets of equipment. We cooked and loved the outdoor eating and lounging spaces especially. The Auto Mercado in Tamarindo had all groceries we needed, and many imported items we used at home. We did eat out at some great places as well. The Surf Box was a hit as well as Gracia in the development. The kids enjoyed surfing lessons at Latitude on Playa Grande, and with their expert teachers, were able to stand almost immediately! We loved the zip line and sunset catamaran as well. The sail is not for the snorkeling, but the swim, sunset and company. We jumped from the boat to the water repeatedly, and as the sun was setting, a sailboat in front of us obliged and we got the perfect shot. This was a highlight. The bunk room was astounding, with three bunk beds, 2 trundles, and individual lights and switches for each. We loved the decor throughout this exceptional home. No review is complete without talking about the sunsets from this property. They are breathtakingly beautiful and cause one to start thinking about how to transport careers to Costa Rica to enjoy this view and life all of the time! We have hundreds of silhouette photos at sunset to remember this wonderful week. Thank you Mitch and Amy for your hospitality. ##### Charisse H. The kids all slept in the bunk room and the adults each had their own room. The pool was incredible and there were gorgeous sunsets every night. Roxana at Tropical Homes arranged everything for us - pick-up and drop off from the airport, rental cars delivered to the property, restaurant reservations and beach recommendations.
