« As others wrote about the appartement: the stench in hall is bad, although its ok once you are inside the appartement. The light on the first floor doesn't work, so its almost completely dark in the evening, the steps are narrow and steep and hard to handle luggage in, and the neighbourhood is not the best (my taxidrivers rate it from medium to bad). The aircondition doesn't work properly. So If you don't run it on full day and night you can't get the temperature down. You have to wait a...

« Excellent, clean property. It did need some more kitchen items (like a cutting board, more than three cups and plates, etc.). Also, not a deal breaker, but the tree in the backyard is infested with spotted lantern flies and they dripped honey dew (a maple syrup-like all substance they excrete). Our car was covered in it, and needed a car wash because the windows were hard to see out of. Still, the state of RI will take care of this. Other than that, excellent host, excellent stay. Short distance...

« The listing was not accurate. Stated there were 2 queen beds, I measured them with my crochet tape measure and they were 51 x 72, smaller than a standard full size bed. There were 3 people on our reservation, we had 4 bath towels, 2 wash clothes, no hand towel or kitchen towels. Messaged host about 7:30 regarding towels and very noisy window air conditioner in one of the bedrooms, got a reply about 9:30 stating that the unit was well stocked for our visit & air conditioners were working. « The automatic information sent about the property was detailed and sent on time. I sent a couple of inquiries asking if there were extra towels or blankets and those inquiries went unanswered. The apartment was very clean and the sheets were soft. If you enjoy a hard mattress, this is perfect for you. Bed was too hard for me and I had to get up in the middle of the night to stretch because it was painful. Rest of my family also found the beds to be too hard to be comfortable. Soundproofing of...

Hotel Providence

8/10 Bien

"The hotel is very nice and well located downtown. Unfortunately, when I arrived late at night after difficult travels, the elevator was out of service and I had been booked into a room on the 7th and top floor. I had a lot of luggage because I was in the middle of a very long trip, and the thought of lugging it upstairs was not pleasant. In the end, I was able to take a service elevator to the fifth floor, and then only had two double flights of stairs to make it to the seventh floor. One of the front desk ladies, Antinette, kindly went up with me and helped bring my luggage up those stairs. She was a lifesaver. The following morning, the manager, Brad, comped my breakfast. The food was delicious and is highly recommended. Also, the elevator was fixed by the time I got up, so bringing my luggage downstairs was very easy. Gorgeous old staircase."
