Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Bixiecun?
The best area to stay in Bixiecun is within the village itself, particularly around the central lake and the main pedestrian streets.

The village is relatively compact, with most accommodations, eateries, and attractions clustered around the picturesque central lake. The main pedestrian thoroughfares, such as those leading from the village entrance towards the lake, are lined with traditional guesthouses and local craft shops. It's a very walkable area, allowing you to easily explore on foot.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape will find the village centre ideal. Many guesthouses offer rooms with views of the lake or the surrounding tea plantations, providing a peaceful and romantic setting.
When is the best time to go to Bixiecun?
The best time to go to Bixiecun is during the spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) months.

During these periods, the weather is generally mild and pleasant, with comfortable temperatures ideal for exploring the village and its surrounding natural beauty. Spring brings blossoming flowers and lush greenery, particularly noticeable around the Bixie Lake and the tea plantations. This is a lovely time for leisurely walks and enjoying the fresh air.

Autumn offers equally agreeable weather, often with clear skies and cooler temperatures, making it superb for outdoor activities like hiking in the nearby hills or visiting the local temples without the intensity of summer heat or winter cold. The landscape often takes on beautiful autumnal colours, adding to the scenic appeal.
