Palaces in Bermuda

"Room clean, staff great, pools fine.breakfast great. I was surprised to see a GOLD room have a bad view (#463),a city view is not back alleys and roof top air conditioning units. I am 85 years and I walk with a cane my wife 82, and we were given a room about 4 kms from the elevator, the door lock when exiting didn't always work correctly, one staff member passing by helped me lock it but still did it a few times later, never fixed, Fairmont is famous for recognizing special events, May 7th was our 60th wedding anniversary and a small single piece of chocolate cake was given to us, that didn't cut it with me? We ate dinner on the 6th at Intrepid and dinner was great, but the manager was over zealous a bit I think he hovered a bit too much, and referred to my wife as you're highness several times, she didn't like that, maybe I am being too fussy, but she was weeping a bit because of that. what do you think? There is no convenience shop to get any products like medical supplies, or women's hygiene items/ My final comment is "Hurry Up Southampton and finish the construction""

"Excellent value for Bermuda. Mrs. Dawkins was wonderful. Spotlessly clean and choice location. Close walk to the beach, groceries, churches, buses and the rail trail. Located in a safe family friendly neighbourhood."

"Very convenient location. Close to airport and bus stop. Walking distance to famous Swizzle Inn serving Bermuda’s Rum Swizzle. Quiet beach and great pool with bar and restaurant."

"Review Coco Reef Resort My adult daughter and I stayed 7 nights at this beautifully located beachside hotel. Its greatest strengths are the spectacular ocean views, lovely private beach and abundance of sunbeds, meaning it never felt crowded. The beach also connects seamlessly with Elbow Beach and Coral Beach, making for wonderful daily walks. The swimming pool looked inviting, although the water was still too cool for us in April. Staff in the dining room and bar were friendly and polite, and the local lady who cleaned our room was excellent throughout. Sadly, Reception fell far below the standard expected at a hotel of this price. At 79 years old, I was curtly told there was nobody available to help with our heavy luggage to and from Block 4, the hotel’s furthest building. We eventually found, loaded and pushed a trolley ourselves up the slope to Reception. Despite a 3pm check-in, our room was not ready until 6pm, yet no apology, refreshments, beach towels or goodwill gesture were offered. What made this particularly difficult to excuse was seeing the same older Receptionist later leave Reception unmanned to personally chauffeur two young, fit male journalists around the hotel buggy during King Charles’ visit, laughing and joking as she escorted them to their rooms. That contrast in treatment sadly marred what could otherwise have been a very enjoyable stay."

"Get the food dinner package. It was amazing!..rooms dated but clean. Lots of stairs from rooms to beach, I counted 135 stairs. Gorgeous property and views. There is a free shuttle to get you to your room to main Lobby if needed. Car rental in sight, a bit expensive, but worth it if you want to explore hidden beaches and areas. Staff are amazing!! Shout out to waitress Ilene and to Terry the host of ocean grill. The staff and food makes up for the property being a bit dated."

"Staff were wonderful. So friendly and helpful. The room upgrade was very much appreciated. Our only complaint is that the turn down service was far too early. They often came late afternoon so we rarely took advantage of it. Not a big deal. We also had no hot water on our last morning but that was likely a glitch. The patio furniture needed repairing but it was still beautiful. We would definitely stay here again."
