10/10 Excellent

"The room was very quiet. The air conditioning unit did not make any noises when it was on or when it shut off or turned on like some hotel rooms. Because it's good construction from long ago, you cannot hear anyone else's rooms. It was so quiet when sleeping. Also, no light enters the room because they have really good shades and covers so when you wake up you still think it's dark outside. The bed was very comfortable. No sleep issues other than a good night sleep. Pillows were good as well. There are no mouthwash cups in the bathroom so just be aware. My wife had thought to bring some for drinks so we didn't have a problem anyways. The people are nice in the lobby. We ran out of dispenser hand soap and they immediately brought it up. They gave one drink free per day at their bar which was really nice. The hotel is conveniently located right there where all the Broadway plays are and just a block off of Times Square. It's close to everything! They conveniently held our luggage while we enjoyed our last day in New York City before having to leave to go back home. Everything was smooth and without any hiccups. We definitely will come back."

Hotel St. James

"We decided to stay at Hotel St. James out of convenience more than anything. Its location near Times Square and all the Broadway theaters was great. The Public House restaurant next door was also a nice bonus. As far as the hotel goes, it’s NOT a 3 star hotel that Expedia currently has it listed as. It’s a 2 Star hotel with dated and small rooms. There are no amenities to speak of. There’s a bar, but it’s closed because they lost their liquor license. Unfortunately, there are no mini fridges in the rooms as well. Although the rooms are small, they are quaint and clean, but that’s about all. The window AC unit did keep the room cool. However, the beds are inconsistent, so it’s kind of the luck of the draw as far as what kind you get. Our first room had a bed about as comfortable as a piece of plywood. Fortunately, the staff was very helpful and accommodating. They let us move to a different room with a bed that was much softer. The housekeeper on our floor was also very nice and helpful. They do a great job of keeping the hotel rooms nice and clean. Overall, this is a hotel that has a great location at an affordable price. If you’re looking for those things, and don’t need anything fancy, this is a good place to stay. The staff will also let you store your luggage before check-in if you arrive early, or they will store it if you’re staying in the city later than the checkout time."

"The hotel in Time Square is a fantastic destination for those who want a great getaway to NYC. Located within walking distance to Grand Central, this hotel is situated in the heart of Time Square and Broadway. If you want to be directly in the action, this is the place to stay. There is a specialty bar onsite (although we did not stop). Considering the location, the price of this hotel was hard to beat."

Hampton Inn New York Times Square

10/10 Excellent

"I had a wonderful experience here! The rooms are small, but that didn't matter to us since we only used them to shower and sleep. Breakfast was great, but the absolute highlight was Ynocencia in the breakfast area. Wow, she was amazing! She was incredibly polite, helpful, and went completely above and beyond. It feels great to be treated with such respect. The hotel is also very convenient to the trains and city attractions. I will definitely book here again. Love it!"
