"hotel really does not care about customer satisfaction. complaining gets you nothing. Hotel manager nowhere to be found. Beds are extremely uncomfortable, blankets covered with dried up sperm, pillows wrapped in plastic. No full time maintenance person. Faulty smoked alarms go on all night long. Noise from Melrose is unbearable, no outlets to charge phone and laptops, no phone in a room. If i have to guess hotel has contract with LA to provide shelter for homeless. Dont be fooled by reviews. Lots of Europeans stay there, they have lower standards"

"Rarely write reviews. But would not recommend. They do a $150 hold charge per day and say it takes 3-10 business days to be removed. The rooms do not have iron, ironing board or microwave. The rooftop music is really loud and may be a problem if you are sleeping early. It’s a beautiful hotel and was clean in a good location but would not stay again."

"Restaurant terrific. Pool pretty good. Decor of lobby and rooms horrific- 'garbage' motif exhausted in an uncomfortable way. I don't care to be surrounded by bullet scathed concrete walls as I sleep. "

"The location was convenient for eating, shopping, walk of fame & more. The staff were mostly helpful & having the night security was awesome. The room was clean except the restroom. The restroom was moldy and full of pee on the sides of the toilet when we arrived. We did not use the pool, sadly."
