The staff is super friendly and helpful. The property is so cute and well kept. They had the cutest stuff in the lobby. I wanted to buy everything. My room had so much charm and the bed was so comfortable. I can’t wait to stay here again.

Smells like a pool in the room. The carpet is old. Had some activities going on when we arrived. Very central to a lot of things to where you can walk to. Parking was not that bad. Could use a little more upgrading. The look is so cute and the beds are A-making. The decor was definitely very appealing and Kool. No coffee in room but in the front office. Has ice machine, water filtration area and hot water for tea and warming baby bottles.

I’d stay here again, I liked it better than the high rise hotels across the river. More for adults than families unless you have some hip older teens

if you’re looking for privacy & austin primacy, look no further. this hidden gem of a motel is straight out of a wes anderson film. the staff is empathetic & considerate & exudes concern for their guests & their needs. will stay here again. highest recommendation.

Overall it was fine. The bed was comfortable and the motel is cute and in a great location. I booked a queen room specifically because it was advertised as having a writing desk and chair and I needed a workspace. My room did not have a writing desk and chair. It had two chairs and a small, low table that were not at all suitable for working. I asked the desk about this and they told me that when I book through a 3rd party, they cannot guarantee that everything in the room description will be there. This was frustrating because even the hotel’s website said there is a writing desk and chair in a queen room. It wasn’t that big of a deal but the response from the hotel was rude and confusing.

Our Motel is over 85 years old and has tons of personality! Each of the rooms are unique, and while we try to standardize their amenities across the board, there are certain rooms that aren't exactly as pictured on the website.Please know that we're always available to help with any questions or concerns about your stay to ensure you're comfortable throughout your entire stay. We would have loved to help get you into a room with a proper writing surface early in your stay. I'm sorry your experience at check out wasn't what you hoped for, and would love to welcome you back in the future if you ever find yourself back in Austin.

Staff was friendly, but motel room was tiny and rundown and unsafe. The bathroom had no shelf for putting on makeup or styling hair or storing self care items. All linens were low to mid-range quality. I checked out rather than stay the night! How could so many have rated this place a 9.0 on average They took an old facility and put paint over chips and cracks rather than replacing wooden door frames, grout and trim, exposed wiring coming out and diving back under baseboard, added minimal, cheap retro furnishings, neglected utility and comfort for guests and more importantly didn’t replace the outside door which was cracked without a functioning deadbolt. The door opens into a parking lot half a block behind Congress Street. The view from the single window (broken wooden shade) was an unkept, high grass and weed area with a long shack with falling boarded windows. Don’t let the website photos mislead you.

Front desk was so personable, starting before our arrival with texts and answering questions about activities to do during our stay, easy checkin and awesome service right thru checkout. Extremely convenient location, was able to walk everywhere. Would highly recommend this for a fun visit to Austin.
