"Surprisingly great hotel! "
I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this hotel last minute and it was at a reduced rate but I decided to go for it since the reviews were pretty good. I am so glad that I took the chance!!! It was really a great place to stay... I'm thinking it might have been an apartment complex before and then was converted to hotel because the room size was ENORMOUS. Everything was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. My young daughter and I stayed her after a local concert and we felt very safe and well taken care of. Good job, Casulo!

"Nice for the Price and Location"
Decent location on 6th Street in Austin. A few blocks walk to the action. And the price was certainly cheaper than any "standard" hotel. Our only issues are that the rooms didn't smell as clean as they should. So we bought Lysol and sprayed the bathrooms and the air. Also, these hotels do not provide housekeeping service so the rooms were only as clean as we kept them throughout the stay. (a bummer for my wife...) Other than that, it is great having the mini kitchens in the rooms as we were able to heat up some food and store our beer in the refrigerators. I would stay there again given the same options, location and money wise, that I had this past stay.

I have only praise for this hotel and its staff. The rooms are well appointed, very clean and the beds comfortable. The hotel facilities are good and the staff very polite and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

"Great hotel, be prepared for noise."
Pros: 1. The hotel is new, modern and clean. 2. Great location in downtown Austin, easy to walk to many restaurants, bars, Town Lake jogging trail and shops. 3. Friendly staff and easy check-in/check-out. Cons: 1. Valet parking (the only option) was a nightmare. Long waits for the car on Saturday, even when calling down ahead from the room. 2. Loud rooms. Not sure how they didn't plan for better noise insulation, but I was told, "If you want a king bed, you'll be on the side of the hotel facing sixth street, so it's very loud." We did want a king bed, and though we don't party, we do stay up late, so it wasn't the end of the world. But they were right—the noise level is too high to fall asleep without ear plugs. 3. At midnight on Saturday the lobby was chaotic and there was a homeless woman in the bathroom with her bags who had made a mess in the stall--a mess that precluded anyone else from using it.
