« Nice place. We cooked meals inside on the stove but also over a fire at the fire pit. There is a small creek behind the cabin that runs when it rains out. That was pretty cool. No nearby light pollution so the sky is really dark at night and you can see a lot of stars. Overall a great experience. Two wineries close by. It's on the wine trail. Close to everything in Southern Illinois. We went to all the state parks. »

The host is very easy to communicate with, even though we didn't need to contact her about anything during our stay because everything was perfect. Having a garage to park in was definitely a plus. 11. Beautiful location in the secluded woods

« The lodge was just as described, and more. It was clean and attention was paid to details. Before we arrived, our host recommended places to see and a restaurant called Mase's Place, that didn't disappoint. Unfortunately, it rained the day we arrived and all the next day so we didn't explore the property like we had hoped to, but we, along with our 2 furbabies, very much enjoyed sitting on the back porch listening to the rain hit the leaves. We are very much looking forward to staying there...

« Check in was easy. The place was clean. We loved the pool! FYI, it is next to some trees so you'll have to clean it at least a little while you're there. The owner did purchase another pool cleaner item while we stayed there but it was on the last day so I'm not sure if that will solve the issue. My biggest complaint was the home had some wear and tear. But the location was convenient. The pool was our favorite. The kitchen was nice. There was even some seasoning! Oh and I highly recommend...
