Pictures honestly do not do this place justice, you really have to experience it!! The craftsmanship and decor are top notch and make you feel the history of the home. Our host, Dana, has thought of everything to ensure a comfortable and memorable experience. The house was filled with thoughtful amenities (everything from mouthwash to sipping scotch). She even coordinated a private chef as an add on to our stay for a special 4 course dinner experience in the formal dining room. Overall, amazing experience!! Perfection in its decor, comfort, amenities and hospitality. Every nook and cranny in this house provided unique surprises and entertaining features. We wished we had had the time to take advantage of the murder mystery package!! Maybe next time.Our host, Dana provided warmth and charm ensuring we had maximum enjoyment. Our group traveled to Southern Illinois primarily to experience the Cache River Reserve. This unique property exceeded all expectations and provided an unexpectedly, over-the-top experience.
