- This well stocked and comfortable duplex (Unit B) is the perfect home base for your trip to Makanda! Guests will enjoy two king bedrooms with large closets and TVs that offer a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. Both rooms are also equipped with ceiling fans. The single bathroom features a relaxing bathtub with shower. There is no better place to unwind with a cup of coffee in the morning or a favorite beverage in the evenings than out on the peaceful back deck! Bring your furry family member, light up the BBQ and there's really no reason to leave! Inside, the space stays pleasant with heating and air conditioning, making it easy to unwind no matter the season. Located right off of Hwy 51, you are centrally located to Carbondale and SIU, Giant City State Park, Cedar Lake and smack dab in the middle of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. There's adventure and wonderful Southern Illinois experiences in every direction. Whether you’re here for a quick getaway or a longer stay, this terrific home provides a cozy and inviting atmosphere and has everything you need!
