Highly recommended if you want simple, rustic lodging with comfortable accommodations (nice bed, everything needed for a compact kitchen to prepare meals, and nice picnic table for eating outdoors). »

« Great property.. lake view was awesome to look at from the living room. Isolated property down long driveway. Modern open feel and look. »

« Very rustic with a HUGE emphasis on hunting. There were bear, turkey and antlers mounted on the wall. The place was a nice size. It was nice to have the bathroom down the hall from the bedroom. The living room couches and bed were comfy. Some of the fixtures weren't quite right. The antler chandeliers had cob webs, the sink had a hole where the sprayer was supposed to go, and the outlets weren't all secure in the wall. There was a lot of junk outside the cabin and we had to use our own towels...

« My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh...

« This is a room in a lovely old farmhouse. I thought the description could have been more detailed: I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The room is on the second floor; the bathroom is private but down a short hallway. The property is in the country and very quiet. Restaurants and stores are in Ellsworth, and easy 20-25 minute drive. Hosts are lovely and not intrusive. »

« Overall it was a nice place to stay and relax. My kids and I enjoyed the kayak's and my wife and I enjoyed the birds in the morning and peace at night. The only negative is we didn't get to hear the loons in the morning or at night, which I was hoping for. »

« We really enjoyed our stay. Sandy beaches are rare for this area, and our kids had a great time exploring the rocky coastline and playing in the sand. We saw interesting wildlife, and watched the boats go in and out of the bay each day. The property was clean and well-maintained, and the owners were excellent communicators, responding right away to any questions that we had. »

« Don’t hesitate to book this property! Michael’s place is such a gem! Check in was easy and the host is very responsive. The inside is impeccably clean and there are so many added touches that make this place so special. There are three kayaks, multiple fishing rods, and tons of puzzles and outdoor games. One of the neighbors offers boat rides too! We enjoyed hiking nearby at Schoodic Mountain and finding starfish at Tidal Falls Preserve. Bar Harbor is an hour away and the public beach access is...

« Our family had a wonderful vacation at Kayak Cabin! Our hosts were friendly and attentive. The cabin was clean and spacious, and very welcoming. Flanders pond was exceptionally beautiful, quintessential Maine! We swam and kayaked and had lots of smores in the fire pit. We will definitely be back next summer! »
