"We had a great stay at the Stagecoach. The cabin is fun to stay at. It is not far from Acadia National Park. There were a few restaurants nearby including Scovils Millside Dining which had good food at great prices. The cabin was very, very clean. The outside shower was very cool. There was a picnic table and fire pit. The host met us there and went over all of the amenities and how everything works. We loved it."

Brand New Oceanfront Home with Privacy and Spectacular Views. Romantic or Family

"This property was a great find for our extended family vacation. The house offered ample space for everyone and still felt roomy! The access to water and kayaks was a great bonus. We enjoyed the fire pit almost every night. Close to grocery stores and other amenities. As mentioned in other reviews, there is no A/C in the house. It was relatively warm a few nights especially on the 2nd floor where every bedroom except one is located. Multiple fans provided which helped keep it comfortable, but on a hotter week it may not have been as tolerable. Again, overall impressed and even surprised with the charm and location of this house. Would 10/10 stay again!"

On The Rocks is located near Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island.

"The place was lovely, our only suggestion would be that if you do have a booking, if the kayaks were tied up to the dock, they would be more available. There is no easy way to get them into the pond, and being almost 70 we didn’t attempt to use them."

"The view itself was priceless. The cottage was very clean. It did have a little step down going into the bedroom that I wasn’t aware of and almost fell. The shower is really tiny. The directions to the cottage had said something about seeing a sign to stay right, but turn left. There wasn’t any stay right sign that we saw. The cottage also said it was secluded but there is 2 neighbors. The trees block them but you can hear the kids playing, etc. On the other side we saw a man outside our window taking pictures of the sunset. The communication with the housekeeper was awesome. We definitely got plenty of relaxation in and did someFishing. We didn’t catch anything but enjoyed ourselfs."

"My childhood friend and I rented this home for our four day visit to Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. It was a spacious home; actually more home than we needed, so we certainly had plenty of space to spread out. It was very comfortable for us. In anticipation of chilly nights in the forecast, we contacted Susan, the property manager, about the heat not working and she promptly came by and corrected the situation. When we contacted the property manager about a problem we were having with heat, she promptly responded, and took care of the problem. This home would be a good choice for families wanting space to roam in a rural area.We found the beds to be very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well equipped, however, the home was not as clean as I expect in a VRBO booking."

Oceanfront Maine Escape: Minutes to Acadia’s Quiet Schoodic Side

"The best thing about this property was the location - that is, if you are looking for a quiet place to get a local feel. The neighborhood was great for walking and the neighbors were very friendly. The town boat launch is about 1/4 mile down the road and you can walk out on the floating dock. This is a great nearby location to launch a kayak or paddle board. Be sure to bring food with you, as there were no walking-distance restaurants. We packed breakfast foods and snacks, and really enjoyed having our coffee and breakfast on the waterfront deck. Acadia and Bar Harbor are approximately a 45 minute drive. There were many highly rated restaurants between this home and Bar Harbor, but our favorite was Sweet Pea's Farm Kitchen for atmosphere and food. The only reasons for not rating this a 5:A minor trash situation that the owner promptly addressed. And the toilet in the en-suite bathroom was temperamental. We didn't report this 2nd issue during our stay because we just wanted to be on vacation without people coming in and out of the property."

A-Frame by the Bay | Firepit, Pets OK, Near Acadia

"We booked this property in order to take a mini roadtrip with our new dog. The A frame looked just as advertised; was stylishly furnished and in pristine condition. The grounds were also meticulously cared for…we even met an older gentleman who was happy to chat…he was the groundskeeper there and obviously took pride in his work. The only reason this property received a 4 instead of all five stars, was the awkward start to our stay: we arrived at a few minutes before our 3pm checkin time, and as happens sometimes with middle aged to older men, my husband REALLY needed to use a bathroom. We knew we were early AND at a campground that appeared to minimally occupied, so, not seeing anyone, he headed off to the edge of the woods, aiming to tuck in out of sight. The I was surprised when one of the property management folks suddenly demanding to know who were. Even when I told her, and explained my husband’s predicament, she really laid into me that he couldn’t do that. She calmed down, but still wouldn’t allow for early checkin. Just a bit much. After that, the stay went well. Close to Winter Harbor and Schoodic Peninsula. :)"
