"We loved our stay at this little gem! Everything about the cottage and location was just lovely. The view from the deck and the cottage was stunning and you felt like you were on a boat. It was so very peaceful and quiet. We saw loons most every day. The water was very clean for swimming. The inside of the cottage was beautiful, very clean and so livable. We even enjoyed sitting by the windows and reading on a rainy day! The AC unit was great and made the stay so very comfortable. We enjoyed cooking and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved the place and location so much that we basically hung out every day we were there! Too pretty to leave. Mark was a very responsive host and most helpful! Thank you for a relaxing and peaceful vacation!!"

"We absolutely loved our stay here. Ben was incredibly helpful in recommending things—there are about a kazillion things to do and places to eat in the area and in Bar Harbor, and his guidance helped us to have a great stay. The house itself is awesome—lots of character, with bathrooms for everybody! Kids loved the beach across the street—tidal pools, wading, playing on the rocks—they spent ages out there. I can’t recommend this property or the Schoodic peninsula enough—it’s way cooler than the Mt Desert Island side of Acadia. :)"

"We are a family of 5, with 3 teens. This house was a great space for us. It had separation for us to spend time apart and good space for us to be together. A few notes.Some reviews complained about the house being close to the road. This wasn't an issue for us. There are bushes separating the house from the road, and the road just isn't busy. The basement has the only TV, which was great, and it had a pool table. The basement was a bit cramped for a pool table but we made it work. The pool cues need replaced, most are either broken or need new tips. Also the plastic darts for the dart board have bent tips and need replaced. All these are minor issues that we worked with.The distance from Acadia was perfect for us. We don't mind 45 minutes on the road. The house does not have AC, but our week was mild temps, so it was beautiful. The house does have some quirks. The light switches are super confusing in some places. I don't think we ever figured out how to turn some lights or fans on. The host was great! We didn't have any fluid to start the charcoal grill, and she brought some over. There are restaurants and grocers nearby, so it's not in the middle of nowhere. All in all, this was a great stay. Highly recommend!"
