"Very nice hotel in a beautiful and safe area"
The Park Plaza in Santiago is in a great area. Close to shopping, public transportation and restaurants. The personnel at the hotel, from the doorman, to the concierge, the reception/check-in, and the wait staff in the restaurant were all very nice and helpful. Almost everyone speaks some English (except the maid service) and they are willing to help you with anything.

"Great hotel to stay in downtown for a short period"
I chose this hotel because this was my first time in Santiago and wanted to be in downtown to get around easily without renting a car. The location is great. The hotel is great as well, nice clean rooms. Breakfast is pleasing which is not very common in several South American countries. Internet worked well. The only thing I was not satisfied with is the air conditioner; although it worked well, it was so noisy that I could barely sleep when it was on.

"The Ismael hotel sets the standard for service"
The Ismael hotel is conveniently located next to the park and a short walk to the submay station. The staff of this hotel are genuine people friendly, attentive and extremely helpful. It was my first trip to Santiago and I arrived at the Ismael without any idea of where to start or what to see. The front desk being intuitive asked about my visit and upon hearing that I had no itinieary took the time to point me in the right direction making my trip extremely memorable. They not only recommended where to go and what to see but also gave detailed directions of how to get there. Knowing that my Spanish was extremely limited they took the time to negotiate charges for taxi rides on my behalf. At the end of my stay upon learning that my flight was at 11.00PM they offered me courtesy of a late check out which I gladly accepted. With quality beds, pillows and bed linen to match the service at the Ismael makes for a perfect and memorable stay. Highly recommended.

"Beautiful hotel"
We moved to the Grand Hyatt after spending one night at a very substandard hotel and so pleased we did. It was our last night of a five week journey through South America and was the perfect way to end our travels. The hotel is large but we never felt crowded. There is a tranquility that offers some respite from the bustling city of Santiago. Lovely spacious rooms, friendly accommodating staff, excellent food and beautiful gardens. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
