"Good location and close to some shops."
I had fractured my knee the week before going and upon arrival the staff was more than helpful in getting us registered and into our room. Everyone was always pleasant and helpful with any inquiries we had. The food in the buffet was very good and each night there was a different theme so you did feel like you were eating the same night after night. Breakfast was the same each day but there was such a verity that you could have something different each morning. I read reviews that some people were disappointed that the cruise ships blocked the ocean view but I didn't really find that. There still was a view and I found it interesting to watch them dock in the morning and depart in the early evening.

"Beautiful relaxing vacation!"
We had an amazing/relaxing time during our stay. The food was good. You should expect warm food and slow service during a few meals and hot amazing foods for the rest, it’s all inclusive so you can’t complain. We had a very young waiter at the Market Cafe who deserves a great review for his customer service. The room service was the best (especially Juan)! Definitely walk down to the beach bar with the swings at night and enjoy some drinks with two of the most entertaining bartenders! The beach was great as well, especially when you could get a chair and/or a towel. People would leave their towels on the chairs for hours unattended, not caring about anyone else who wanted to actually enjoy the beach. We did find an abundance of cigarette butts left over from other guests, but that’s their responsibility not the resorts. We spent hours upon hours snorkeling and saw a bunch of wildlife both off the beach and on our snorkeling trip (definitely worth it!). Off the beach snorkeling was better than expected. It’s really not as rocky as people have mentioned, and if you think it is just jump off the pier. There were tons of different species of fish and other creatures such as sting rays, lobsters, and hermit crabs. We were sad to leave and go back to a snowy Boston, but we’re excited to return!

"Beautiful beach in the jungle"
Hotel is built in the jungle and it is beautiful place-hacienda style. It consists of about 10 buildings three floors each spreadout throughout. Rooms and bathrooms are quite big ,though bit dated but very clean. There are balconies in each room even though there is no view. All the buildings are 3 minuites or less away from the beach and it is nice and quiet. Perfect for couples with babies as there are a lot of activities. Snorkelling right off the beach or you can take a boat and go to three famous sites. Hotel is quite outside of the city so not much to do outside of the resort unless you take a taxi or rent a car. We loved it, We travelled with our 8 month old daughter and we had plenty to see and do. Food is good, staff is extremly polite and helpful.

"Perfect get away"
As we arrived at the resort, we were greeted as we got out of the taxi. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We asked for an upgrade at the time of arrival, they were kind enough to check for us, but there were none at the time. It was ok, because our room was great, it was ocean view just like it said when we booked the stay, balcony looking right at the water. The food was good and everyone on staff at all the restaurants went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. They always greeted us with a smile, regardless if it was at breakfast, or 11p at night. The pool was beautiful, however we never got in or sunned at the pool, only because we can do that at home. We go for the beach!!! The fire show was entertaining, the performers did an excellent job. Caribbean night was fun, good food by the pool and loved the tables set up around pool area. Wilbreath, our bartender that was right by our room was friendly, so sweet and his smile was contagious, not to mention the great drinks he made for us. We went to this resort to check out the course for Ironman Cozumel in November. I searched info on the resort before we went, we wanted a place that we could get into the ocean and swim. There were rocks that we had to walk over before getting into our swim, but other than that , couldn't have been happier. Thanks to you all at Sunscape.

"Nicely located hotel in town."
Great hotel if you don't mind not being on the beach. The breakfast that they serve is very good. You can walk the entire town. Restaurants are good. If you want some sand and beach, Mr. Sanches beach is the place for you. A short ride in a taxi will get you there.

"Clean, private resort with large pool and beach!"
This is 3rd year returning to Hotel Cozumel; private hotel with many amenities if you so choose. Also can be your own private retreat. Extra clean, friendly staff, nice balconies to enjoy sun and quiet time. Large pool area for all ages plus kiddie pool and hot tub. Babysitting provided on site for extra charge. Husband and I return for 2 weeks in winter to be guaranteed almost 80 degree weather, plenty of sunshine and relaxation. Shopped in local grocery stores, have eaten in town with the locals, many restaurants on the same main street as Hotel Cozumel in either direction. Good long walks at sunset time; which are magnificent to see! Area caters to scuba divers, but Hotel Cozumel has own private beach and beautiful area to swim in. Many excursions to choose from, but can be pricey. Will continue to visit Cozumel until run out of things to do and see!
