Didn't need to spend an extra dollar for the activities or food. Was great except they try to convince you to upgrade for additional fees.

"Good location for divers"
Located across the road from a dock where you can be picked up for diving. Taxi fare to down town is $7.00 each way so you may not want to go to town very often. Good beach restaurants within easy walking distance. My room was near road so very noisy, but it is Mexico and can be loud at time, in future I would ask for a room further from road and dive shop noise. I tried having lunch at the resort one day, sat for awhile but could not get waited on so I left and ate outside of resort. Room was clean and maids where very good. Took a while to get hot water but once it came was very good. My air conditioner quit working one day, did not take long for someone to look at it and fix it.

"You Get What You Pay For"
This was our second time staying at Park Royal. Our first time was an amazing experience, this most recent stay...not so much. I will start with the good: this is a beautiful resort, clean facilities, AMAZING cleaning staff, nice pools, decent food, friendly staff, great location and a good value for your money. However, there are also some negatives: we were moved to five different rooms before we finally found a room without mold (on the 7th floor). It was not uncommon to wait 5+ minutes at dinner for our drink order to be taken and to be towards the end of our meal before our drinks (Coke and water) to be delivered to our table. We even tipped the servers, but that wasn't incentive enough to increase the speed of service. Dinner reservations begin being taken at 12:30pm and are generally full by 1:30pm for the fancier restaurants. We had cold shower water every day of our stay and when we finally brought this to the attention of staff, were told that "it was a hotel-wide problem" and not offered a solution. Again, considering that it is an extremely affordable resort, I can't complain TOO much, but just be aware that you are going to get what you pay for.

"Nice hotel and friendly staff"
I stayed at B&B Caribo Cozumel for 3 nights with my girlfriend and we were very happy and satisfied about it. No luxuries, but everything you need for a quiet confortable stay, including a nice comunal terrace. We got a lot of good recommendations and suggestions from the owners of the hotel (restaurants, bars, places to snorkel...). A familiar atmosphere which we really enjoyed. Breakfast is served at a different place three minutes away, and was delicious. The hotel is a 12-min walk away from the main port. This allows you to escape the most touristic areas and discover the real places for locals. We walked most of the time and enjoyed the neighbourhood. We´ll surely come back!

"First time visit 04/2015"
Overall this place was an okay stay. If you're looking for 5 star, you can't go in expecting it at this hotel. The staff was really great and the pool was really nice. Just a few things I was looking for when reading reviews. Food: it is all buffet style, they changed the location every night we were there, so it was kind of confusing. It wasn't the best food I've ever had, but there was always something that I could find to eat. I thought most of the dessert selections that they had were not good at all, that was disappointing. The breakfast was pretty good most days and we usually only had the snack bar for lunch. We did realize like the last day that lunch was across the street at the other part of the resort. Drinks: There are a TON of drink options for you to choose from if you are looking for blended drinks. I loved that option at the resort. There was only one type of beer I think, but trying all of the different types of blended drinks was awesome! Beach: The fact that you had to go across the street to get to the beach and go snorkeling was kind of disappointing as well. We rarely spent any time over there other than to watch the sunset, went snorkeling one day (which the snorkeling equipment isn't great), and to check out the hammocks. Before I even got into the water to go snorkeling I cut my leg pretty bad on the ladder due to a piece of metal from the step being stuck out. We spent most of our time at the pool and it was never crowded.
