“Best Resort Ever!”
Everything From start to Finish was Amazing. I have not stayed at any other resort in Cozumel, But it couldn't get any Better. Wonderfull View, awsome crew.
“A great hotel for the money!”
Our first room, which was a garden view, wasnt great; the AC didnt work well, we didnt have a view & the bed was uncomfortable, but luckily after 4 days, we got upgraded to a much better room. All the staff was extremely friendly & accommodating! For dinner reservations at the nicer restaurant, there was a line outside the restaurant at 8am, which was too early for us, but if you want an early reservation, get there at 8am! We really enjoyed all the activities; ping pong, pool, mini golf, snorkeling & kayaking, so make sure you take advantage of them! As for the tvs, most of the channels are in English & they do have 5 movie channels (HBO). I would recommend bringing playing cards (popular in the lobby), a watch or alarm clock (they don't have clocks anywhere), sunscreen that has mosquito repellent it in (my boyfriend got bit up!), at least $30 in 1 dollar bills(it comes in handy for leaving tips, or bargaining with locals), and you should bring hiking sandals for the beach because there are a lot of broken shells. Also, everyone accepts U.S. money, so there is no need to get Pesos. The walk to town from the hotel is much farther then it looks, so always take a taxi; it'll be around $8. All the taxis we were in were clean and the drivers friendly, so no need to worry. The food at both restaurants was only satisfactory, but I didnt expect much more for the price. Overall, our trip to Cozumel and our stay at El Cozumeleno were great, so I highly recommend this resort!
“Our 4th stay here.....”
We LOVE this place! We brought another couple with us this year, and as always, the El Coz didn't let us down. We upgraded to a deluxe room and were very satisfied. It was in the older section, very quiet and the room was super with the wrap-around balcony!
“An excellent place to stay”
ROOM - The rooms at the Cozumeleno are very comfortable and spacious. All have air conditioning and the ocean view rooms truly do have an impressive ocean view. The bed is a bit hard, but the room is kept very clean by the maid service. SERVICE - The service is where the Cozumeleno really shines. We haven't been to a resort with better service. There were always two people waiting on our table at the restaurant and our drinks were never empty while we were sitting by the pool. We asked the front desk how we confirm our return flight and they immediately put us on the phone with an airline representative who could confirm it. FOOD - The only downside of the Cozumeleno. We expected the food to be better for the price. The buffet appeared to get better as the week went on and by Friday the food was of decent quality. However, the restaurant, La Veranda, was horrible and should have been much better for the price. Go out for dinner in San Miguel if you're there early in the week and go to the theme nights at the buffet later in the week. Avoid La Veranda. DRINKS - The drinks were decent and there were bars galore. We recommend the Bloody Mary's, Long Island Ice Teas and Pina Coladas. POOL - One of the nicest resort pools we have ever seen. It's large and clean, but a bit cold in the winter.
“We will do a return visit”
From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful. Accommodations were outstanding, staff were friendly - did everything to make you comfortable and most spoke remarkable English. All the activities you could think of or just relax, similar to a cruise ship - food was plentiful all day long and until 1 a.m. During the week we were there, they had four shows in the evening that were very well done. We found it so wonderful we are already planning a return trip.
“Fabulous Vacation”
Everything about El Cozumeleno was top-notch: the pools, the beachfront, the rooms, the restaurants, the activities, and especially, the people. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return.
“Can't wat to go back”
Great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would defnitely go back again and recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you to the hotel and staff that made this vacation a memorable one.
“Going back ASAP taking the rest of the family next time”
It was a great vacation, if you like to snorkel, love great views, great service, friendly people, and all the food and beverages you want. we seen families as well as honeymooners having a great time. the all inclusive is just that, the mini bar, room service, everything was included. I can't think of any negatives about our stay. Yes, you could say some of the food was not to my taste, but thats anywhere. we had no problem finding plenty of good food and beverages during our stay. The beds were a bit firm, but that seems to be the norm in Mexico. by the end of the day you are to tired to notice anyway. If you don't have a great time it is your fault. the staff will do anything to help you have a wonderful stay.
“Wonderful Vacation - Can't Wait to Return!”
My friend and I have never been to Cozumel or an all inclusive resort - so we were a little apprehensive about safety on the island and the food/drink quality. Turns out we had nothing to worry about. The buffet has lots of choices and if you don't see anything you like - ask for the menu. Make reservations for the nice restaraunt for dinner (read about dress code-not as strict for girls but was for boys). If you ask, they will make drinks a double shot. After talking to people about the island, we decided to rent a scooter to check it out. Locals are friendly and we didn't feel afraid to be by ourselves. The hotel grounds, lobby, and pools are beautiful. Beware of the music and intercom around the pool - it's very loud. The hammocks are fun and the tiki huts are far from the pool and very relaxing. The water is very clean and clear and the snorkeling right off the beach is amazing. Our room was kept very clean, the a/c worked very well and it was quiet all around us our entire stay. The hotel had activities for teens and shows some nights for families. We went for a relaxing time on the beach and had a wonderful time! We will definately go back!
“not for people who want peace and quiet”
The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The front desk is often where problems arise although this time it was great. The big problem with the hotel is the kids. The parents apparently feel that once they arrive its up to the hotel to watch them. They scream all day long ,take over the swim up bar and the hot tub, and in general ruin the other peoples stay. It is for that reason that we will no longer return.
