This property is in an amazing location. Staff at restaurants is great. We had a very troubled check in just like last time. For some reason, when we try to pay for our reservation there is always a problem w our Amex. It happened last time and we had to spend a lot of our vacation time at the front desk and on the phone w Amex. They insisted it was our card, Amex said everything was fine. Last night after a Very long day of traveling, we encounter the same staff member as last time, and we had the sabe problem. Again, Amex said they saw no reason for the hotel to decline the card. When we tried to review our ambassador membership w the hotel, we were told a room upgrade was not available, so we didn't renew it. The room that we got is in the older side of the hotel, so we are not very happy. Not a good way to start our first trip after Covid. We can't to cozumel to celebrate our wedding anniversary and also, to celebrate life. My husband had an ugly battle with Covid 19.He almost didn't make it. But We are here and we will enjoy ourselves. We are grateful to be alive.
