We stay here often, very peaceful and love the gym and pool.

Spectacular hotel and staff. Five stars across the board. Beautiful rooms, great view, staff immediately available, good food, animals everywhere…. One of our best trips we have ever gone on due to the hotel and service.

Amazing stay!

Beautiful resort, HOWEVER, if you aren't an entomologist you might not like your stay here. The doors don't seal, the windows don't seal, the outdoor shower doesn't seal, and that results in every bug and small animal in your villa. That is unacceptable for a "4 star" resort. While it wasn't the end of the world for us, having a June bug fly in your hair while in bed can be very unnerving or the squawk of a lizard on the ceiling at 3am can be annoying. We're not talking about a little gecko either - a 12" long lizard in the room with us for four days. And don't leave the lights on before you head to dinner, the ceiling will be covered in bugs upon your return. The beautiful infinity pool had lots of small tiles missing. Four star resorts maintain their properties better than this. And there's no TV either. It's nice to watch a little something before bed. A TV was in the three other places we stayed while in CR. Four star resorts have TV's. The staff was great. Oh, and you can't mind steps either. Our villa was down 124 steps from the parking area. That means you're going up 124 steps whenever you leave....don't forget something! So much potential, however they fail in execution.

Amazing stay!

The staff at this property was over the top accommodating. Attentive to all our needs, friendly and it felt like they knew us personally. The property was beautiful and well kept. Pool and Beach chairs had fresh towels on them every day.

Everything was great

Chef made us a special dinner from fresh fish we caught. Amazing location and hotel. Will recommend and return in the future!! Highly recommended.

We loved our stay. The breakfasts were delicious, the early morning yoga and weight classes were great, 10 minute walk to town, etc. the only draw back is that the beach has rocks so not a great swimming beach. Nice to walk, but don’t swim.

This was one of the best hotels / resorts we’ve ever stayed in. My family of 4 (13 yr old and 10 yr old) had a private villa to ourselves nestled right in the jungle. The villa had two floors, with the master suite and king size bed on the top level. The kids loved that the first floor even had a loft with its own mattress. The kitchen was well equipped too. Before booking we saw several comments about the humidity; yes, it’s a bit damp and humid but you are in the RAINFOREST. That’s the beauty of it. Saw lots of birds and agoutis, other wildlife. The lodges are just a couple of minutes from the fortuna waterfall, and super accessible to the many hot springs and the volcano trails. One of the best things included is the breakfast; the Gecko restaurant is excellent. Charlie and Scott are wonderful. Delicious food! Also, our booking came with access to the mystic bridges. Overall, this was one of the best values we’ve ever had. Absolutely loved it!!

Everything was great

The great things about the hotel was that it was on the beach, several food options close by, beach not busy, dive shop next door and jungle trees which allowed for fun visits from howler monkeys and iguanas. Downside of the hotel was that it is in need of some updates. The maintenance staff was prompt when we alerted them of broken items such as; our door lock was broken but even with the installation of a new lock and handles the door would not lock, the air conditioner was dripping (fixed promptly), and the pool was slippery getting in and out without safety rails. Overall, it was a nice hotel but was in need of updates.
