Amazing hotel! The staff goes above and beyond

Great place. Have stayed here six or more times in the last five years. Always a pleasant experience. Reasonably good breakfast. Coffee always available. Excellent staff interaction they’re all very helpful and personable. Walking distance to an excellent restaurant Basso just across the parking lot with good happy hour vibes and really good food. We’ll never stay anywhere else when we come to St. Louis

We only spent one night but the room was gorgeous the checking was easy and the employees were great. The food at the restaurants were also good and of course we did enjoy our time at the casino

The room was clean. The staff was extremely nice and informative. The airport shuttle was clean; both drivers to and from the airport were courteous. I did report that the shower leaked onto the floor.

The staff did an excellent job. The hotel’s pool is dreamy and lots of restaurants around the area.

The room was clean & nice. Not so much with the staff of 5 star hotels. Except I think the concierge & spa staff was amazing. However, the front desk I think manager? Assistant manager ( a blond lady with our the uniform at the front desk who always is pretending she is busy ) ? Had really bad attitude, because of her the while front desk staff seemed stressed. I would not want to work under her ?!? She treated me as an invisible person when I walked up to the front desk. And she gave an attitude to my husband when he went up to the front desk too. Was it because we were Asian? She was talking to other guests over me when a guest was passing by behind me. I have stayed several Four Seasons before but this hotel definitely does not have the same class of service.

Interesting concept, but poorly executed. Unfortunately, this did not feel like a true 4-star hotel experience. The location can be convenient if you are visiting the Gateway Arch or attending an event downtown, and for us it worked well because we could walk to the AC/DC concert. Otherwise, there is not much happening immediately around the hotel, and the area did not feel nearly as welcoming or comfortable as other parts of St. Louis. If location had not been so important for this trip, we likely would have changed hotels after the first night and stayed closer to the Kingside Diner/Central West End area, which felt much more lively, cozy, and comfortable for walking around. The biggest disappointment was the lack of attention to detail and maintenance. The AC filter in our room was extremely dirty and looked long overdue for replacement. There were also broken fixtures/supports and issues with the bathroom door. Those are the kinds of things I would not expect to encounter at a hotel positioning itself as a 4-star property. Service also lacked the warmth and attentiveness that normally distinguish a higher-end hotel experience. The bar has a fun concept, but the food felt overpriced for what was delivered. The complimentary bourbon shot is also a clever marketing idea, although calling what was served a “shot” was generous - it was closer to half of one.
