Top Romantic Getaway Packages in Hawaii

When booking the Royal Hawaiian it would have been nice to know about the construction in the building where we were staying. You could also hear the constant construction by the pool which everyone was complaining about. We had to wear ear plugs as it was very annoying. I would not have booked had I known this was going on. The elevators were dusty/dirty with construction traffic. The room itself was way below expectation for cost. Only one water bottle left for two people, one robe left for two people, hair conditioner container in shower was empty. The air conditioner was so loud and never stopped blowing unless we turned it off. Obviously needing updating or repair. We expected so much more from this iconic hotel. The common areas are well kept, but the two rooms that we booked looked and felt very old. The wood railing on our lanai was in such bad shape. I was embarrassed that I paid so much for this room/hotel after arriving. Kudos to the valet staff, they are amazing. The Mai Tai bar staff (Dana) was great and so friendly. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful.

My husband and I had an incredible honeymoon stay. We couldn't recommend Hotel Wailea enough!! The team are all so lovely and attentive and all went out their way to give us the best experience. Shannon was an absolute star organising an itinerary prior to arrival so everything was so smooth and easy. Would definitely recommend the in-room Lomi Lomi couples massage and hiring e-bikes with Bear. Shoutout to Sunny also for her help on the front desk and assistance with our postcards! Our hotel room was spacious, comfortable and had a breathtaking ocean view and sofa balcony loungers. We were also very grateful to the valet team for all their assistance chauffeuring us around Wailea and the beaches. The food was utterly divine, in particular the Bird Cage was a highlight, superb menu and sake. The breakfasts also were so fresh! Not to mention the moreish cocktail menu and bites by the pool! The ariel and flow yoga with Andrea and outrigger canoe experience were also fantastic. We couldn't fault it and was the most perfect honeymoon. Thank you all so so much again. We look forward to returning one day X

Loved the property and the stay, except the drinks. The drinks were very poor quality. However, upon completion of our stay we discovered that our 7 night stay was ineligible for Grand Hyatt Rewards. We received a very limited number of points we spent. We spend thousands of dollars on a dream vacation and received virtually nothing through the reward program. Very disappointed with our World of Hyatt experience.

Peaceful We checked in to a room, extended to another night since it was raining, instead of trying to accommodate in staying into that room until the next room was ready. I had to check out wait while it was pouring rain. The assistant was Vanessa, did not tell me there was a refrigerator where I could store the food we had already purchased, which I did inform her we had food. All she said that she could put that request in and that the room should be ready by 4p,. Check out from the other room was 11am. Room was ready by 2pm . So for 3 hours it was pouring and everything packed. The next day electricity goes out for one hour, while making breakfast, no back up generator. Again, check out 11am. NO SERVICE RECOVERY FOR THE DAY BEFORE AND DAY OF CHECK OUT FOR PIWER OUTAGE!. Same person, Vanessa, requested to at least check out by 12p. Which i thought was reasonable, being i did not say how I was Accommodated for the previous day. She says that the room has someone that needs to be checked in , so if I could be checked out ASAP. I was out by 1130p. As much as this area on the island can be so beautiful, and they have renovated from 10 years ago. Service has diminished for the amount you pay. The last time we had breakfast, and a upgraded room, since they did not have the room available at that time. What happened to Kama'aina and Aloha! It's too bad for such a beautiful place
