Great location.

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. The moment I walked through the entrance, I immediately realized that I had made a terrible choice. Starting from the lobby, I was hit with a strong musty, moldy smell that you would expect from an old, poorly maintained building. The staff member who checked me in seemed completely uninterested and made very little effort to be helpful. When I asked where the elevator was, instead of saying anything, the employee simply pointed in its direction with a finger. Unfortunately, things only got worse when I entered my room. The moldy smell was even stronger, combined with an unpleasant damp, humid odor that made the room extremely uncomfortable. When I lay down on the bed, I noticed that the pillowcases and sheets smelled terrible. They had a sour, stale odor along with what smelled like someone else’s sweat, which made me seriously question whether the bedding had even been properly washed. To be fair, it is possible that the pillowcases and sheets had been washed and that the odor was actually coming from the pillows or mattress itself because the smell had become deeply embedded over time. However, based on the overall condition and cleanliness of the hotel, I honestly doubt that was the case. After this experience, I will never stay at a La Quinta hotel again. I will also strongly discourage my friends, family, and anyone I know from staying at one. This was easily the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
