Rhodope Mountains Pet-friendly Vacations

From the moment we arrived, our experience was highly disappointing. The hotel is situated in an unpaved area with rough gravel roads, surrounded by an overgrown vacant lot. Upon arrival, there were no English-speaking staff members available at the front desk. Instead, we were greeted by a maintenance worker who appeared to handle multiple roles. While he was exceptionally polite, helpful, and welcoming, he spoke only Bulgarian, which made communication difficult. When we were escorted to our suite, we found that it did not match our reservation. The accommodation was in poor condition, outdated, and dusty. We requested a room change and spoke over the phone with an English-speaking manager. I explained that the room provided did not reflect our booking or the online gallery. Although she initially claimed we had reserved a standard suite rather than a deluxe, our booking confirmation clearly proved otherwise. We were eventually upgraded to a 'deluxe' suite that resembled the website photos. However, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The linens were significantly worn out, the towels did not meet proper hygiene standards, the room was only partially renovated, and the walls were stained.Given the poor location, lack of cleanliness, and management discrepancies, I cannot recommend this hotel.

The property is priced at the high end for this town, while it provides a run-down facility and mediocre hygiene. The in-room amenities barely work and carry the marks of many years of service, the towels have stains, and judging by the dates on the product labels of the equipment, the room we stayed in has not been refitted in at least 13 years. This was the worst spent 150 eur per night!

The receptionist was very kind and accommodating. We had a small incident, and after sharing with her, she went beyond our expectations to make our stay comfortable. I can’t say enough how caring she was. The rental of golf equipment was a bit pricey, and I would have expected to have a bit better price for guest of the hotel, but that wasn’t the case. Of course, for longer stay, it is worth getting your own equipment. However, for us, it was unexpected decision to visit, so no gold equipment planed in advance. It is truly lovely place to spent some quality time with family and friends in otherwise hot weather elsewhere in the country. Perfect place to escape the heat with some perfect mountain view.
